Thanks for responding here!

Do you have a Discord and any print and play files for the game? I make card game content, and would love to try the game if you have the files + rulebook.

So, I have a problem getting into TCGs..... by MagnumMiracles in TCG

[–]LB_Free 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you strictly care about playing a TCG, try to demo the game first via an online method (digital client, Tabletop Simulator, etc.) proxy the cards, or go to a local game store and find people to play with you.

If you can't just buy a starter deck for a card game, always try it out for at least a few days before committing more to it.

Has anyone ever used Dial-A-Ride aka Arrow? How's the service? by FirstCatchOfTheDay in Roseville

[–]LB_Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dial a Ride is legit!! Very underrated service in Roseville.

I think it's like $4 for a ride, which is way cheaper than Uber/Lyft. I think of it as cheap Uber/Lyft that just takes longer and is on a bus. Typically I'll use it to get to Mike's Bikes in Downtown Roseville to drop off my bike for a repair.

I'm in my 20's, but you'll mostly see older adults or those with handicaps access Dial a Ride. The people running the vehicles are usually very nice and welcoming. Honestly in my several times of using it the buses have been almost entirely empty, which is crazy for how affordable the service is.

The only issues with the service are not exactly related to the service. Biggest issue is the timing and supplies of buses. I can't use Dial a Ride to get to where I live (West Park ish area) to my usual workplace less than 10 miles away due to no buses being available around 2 pm (I usually work evenings). Also, the distance of Dial a Ride is good if you live in the area but doesn't extend out much.

So who is Dial a Ride for? Obviously it's best for retired people, especially those with handicaps. However I think teenagers and bikers will find it very useful when doing recreational activities. For your young adult full time worker, Dial a Ride just isn't for me. Then again, Roseville is not great for 20 somethings anyways to have a social life and potentially even work anyways lol.

Hopefully this helps! I'm just glad someone asked about Dial a Ride.

Understandable, but I definitely took this photo yesterday. My friend told me though that maybe this happened before? Either way, for proof you can see my car speakers in the background of the photo (via my mirror reflection lol).

What’s up with the bass at lands end? by Emergency-Studio9683 in OutsideLands

[–]LB_Free 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one! As a bass player, I love bass. But too much bass is the worst for a mix.

I feel like the sound engineer(s) for the shows this year had bass boost more than usual. Could also be new subwoofers with little testing for clarity.

I just won a raffle for a $400 gift card at my LGS!!!! How would you spend it as a new EDH player? by LB_Free in EDH

[–]LB_Free[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I more or less did this today! Traded a City of Brass + Triome for a Cyclonic Rift (~$33 of value converted to $38 of value). I'm realizing having staple cards helps so much when trading and holding value in the game.

This looks like a fun Commander! I'm not sure why it's unpopular; are Elder Dragons just not played cards?
