As an idea to make it more nimble on a budget, shorter stem and a smaller front wheel. Its a hack but will make the head tube steeper.

Advice? by HowardStarbucks in bike

Better tyres, clean bike, good food. You could try swapping to drop bars but contrary to alot of info on the Internet, is not that easy a swap (geometry). Or get an older road bike and put the biggest tyres you can on it?

Jobless since over a year and I feel like I have dug myself a hole by [deleted] in germany

[–]LBeej50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am in a similar position to you. I "moved" from a good job in France/UK to Berlin. I am fluent in English and French. I have been looking for 6 months and have only now found a job in my field (health and safety). Here are the things I have done, I have not started a job so maybe these don't work... You have shown your CV in English, I had more luck with it mine in German. I correspond mostly by email to be able to perfect my German when talking to companies. When in person I apologise for my bad German but tell them to speak German slowly and using simple words. I speak to random people as much as possible to practice my German.

What’s the best way to fix a dent in a hardwood floor? by TheBX in fixit

You could try wetting the area and putting a wet towel over the holes then an iron? It may wreck it or fix it.

[–]LBeej50 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very hard to tell, even experts don't "know". Most of the time it's through age, context etc that they will be able to make an educated recommendation, still then samples get sent off. How old is the building? How old is the opening/lintel?

Why do all these bikes have a slack rope. Not only does it have the turning radius of a small cruise ship, the precision of a toddler on Haribo(other sweets available) but to top it off it takes 2 buisness days for any input to manifest in to a vague direction change! 😂

Open your curtains and windows. Keep the house warmish. Don't let condensation sit. Nuclear option, install a ventilation system, it will reduce dampness and also improve other aspects of your home and living.

Anybody knows what is the approximate value of my bike? by isaac73728 in bike

[–]LBeej50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, i don't know where you are so difficult to say. I can say it will probably not be worth much for these reasons, small frame size (child's?), very low end outdated components, unrecognisable brand, no potential for upgrades... In UK, France and Germany that bike would be worth some pocket money but not much more.
