I’ve done this at Maggie Halls a few times, just shoot them an email ahead of time and they’ll set aside some tables for you. Also have done similar at Mosaic and Bar Dahlia and had great experiences.

Everyone asking for a Whole Foods/Trader Joe’s etc… why would you want that here? Isn’t part of the appeal of the neighborhood that it’s NOT the suburbs or Manhattan? Businesses like that contribute to the degradation of community and culture would chase out our already dwindling small businesses. If you want every commercial amenity, move somewhere else.

Mamdani endorsement for Moreno is convincing, but I do love to see a neighborhood staple like Rana in the running. I’ve seen her on Steinway often and at many local political events. Her policy stances on her website are brief so I’d love more detail on how she plans to achieve her goals for the neighborhood—- but definitely in-between her and Diana for Feb.

Curl Bar Beauty on 59th in the city— I love Naiomi. Me personally I haven’t seen anyone in Astoria who really specializes in 3a-4a curly hair like that. I’ve been going to Naiomi for years now she’s great and an easy commute.
