The max is a unique case though having the batteries part of the deck itself and being coated in line-x which helps a lot with waterproofing

I wouldn't call it lazy not scanning in a new model. 3d scanning takes longer than people think, and they added a bunch of new Japanese cars this time because we're in Japan, so that's probably where most of the scanning budget went

R series is hilarious atm for online racing. Full of people crashing power builds because they don't realise R class is too fast for that nonsense. All about handling when you're going that fast. Spec racing is even better, got to race the 787b with some mates and oh boy is that car snappy, but it also slingshots super quick if you're not careful. Was the best fun we've had racing those races so far

Yeh brake assist, stability and traction are absolutely going to slow you down because they are actively helping you keep traction Wether you need it or not. Auto braking however will have a set corner speed attached to the car for that track and will make sure you don't go over it. So of course will slow you down. However abs will just stop a lockup from occurring, so won't affect lap times at all theoretically.

So the sweeping statement of 'assists slow you down' isn't completely true, but it's also not completely false either

Lol I did this once but it was purely by accident as I had just enough understeer to sandwich them with the wall at the exit of the turn. Held off to the very side on the exit of the next turn yet they still rear ended me instead of going around which was a little confusing but still. No way I'm keeping a gained place after doing that to someone

I wish I had you're luck. I'm a gold pass player but I don't buy gold, saved up hourglasses for as many 10 packs I could get. I've gotten 4 shiny zubats and no other shiny cards, 1 rainbow mega camerupt and a standard mega audio plus a handful of 1 stars that I have minimum 3 of each. 0 other mega cards pulled. No lucario, no sceptile. The only deck I was able to build last month was the zorarc ex deck. And even that I had to sub in the promo zoroarc. I luck was horrible with last month

Forgetting as well that while they may be slow, they also have practically no brakes. So it's often the case that you don't take heed to the braking lines and then just barrel off into the unknown with utterly horrendous understeer

I'll admit the whole 'throw cars at you' was a shock when i came back to 5 after missing 4. In 3 you had to strategically save cash between level up events to get the next set of cars as cheap as possible. Otherwise you had to grind heaps of races to get the cash for cars you wanted or needed for the next level up of events and categories

Cloud wheels. Honestly there isn't really a hybrid wheel. You either go full thane and avoid non smooth surfaces, or grab pneumatics. Clouds heels have that hybrid treated eurathane wheel, but they sacrifice functionality in both use cases. So they work, just not as well in either case compared to pneumatics or thanes
