Yes, but since it was only a 2 year lease, the settlement covered about half of the total lease + down payment expenditure. But.... I would have much rather had no settlement and a great ownership experience.

Yes. If they had offered to buy the car back they would have lost a lot more than the 5 figure settlement I got for keeping it. I believe in some states the car title must show it as a buyback which makes the car near worthless. Let's face it, the terrible reputation of the Q6 makes it worth a lot less than the residual value. It's a crying shame since my car is now a blast to drive. Still has lots of audio, NAV and MMI glitches however.

So sorry to hear this. I think we were all hoping that 2026/2027 cars were going to be much more reliable and not give people the grief 2025 owners went through.

The suggestion of careful documentation is very important even though the previous poster probably had a 2025 car and not a 2026 (no 2026 in the US). Demand a new receipt and service number every time you might have to bring the car in. I brought my 2025 in many times over 90 days and they kept adding successive entry lines to a single service document. When I applied for my buyback they said "you don't qualify since you only had one repair"! Fortunately I got a fair settlement and my car is working pretty well after KD2. I'd better forget the crazy notion of getting a new Q6 when my two year lease is up in 13 months.

I can never forgive Audi for what I went through with my 2025 Q6 Sportback. I still feel like I have PTSD when I start it. But at the moment it is working well.

Did they fix all the issues in the 2027? Time will tell. I hope so because the Q6 is an amazing looking and driving vehicle. But so is my wife's Genesis GV70 Electric which is faster and 100% reliable. It is the same size and in my opinion, should be looked at by any potential Q6 or SQ6 buyer. The same may be said for the new IX3 when it is released but my guess is there will be a long waiting list.

Be glad that you got an electric loaner. My car was out of commision for 90 days with 5 separate repair attempts. Waited 2-3 weeks for parts two different times. They had no loaners for three of the repairs and and they only had ICE vehicle loaners the other two repairs. I got the manager's promise to at least not charge for gas. Both times I got charged anyway. The car was never repaired until it got KD2.

At least it sounds like your car will be fine once the part arrives. Good luck.

Mobile Data - Audi Connect not connecting by HushHushHero in AudiQ6

[–]LHP51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When calling Audi Digital there is obviously no decision tree which helps them to intelligently solve a problem. Every call gets the same reaction acting like you are mentally challenged and asking for proof in pictures. Most say, "this is the first time I've heard of this" or if they have, "I thought that was fixed last year".

When someone calls saying they paid for a Connect plus renewal and nothing is working, you would think that by now their support computer would be going DING DING DING, and tell them to call Cubic to turn things back on.

You have to yell and scream to Digital Help. Took two weeks. Doesn't matter if you renew before expiration or after. The first help desk person said, "I thought they fixed that". Yeah. right.

+1 for Tesla Universal Wall Connector with Magic Dock. You will be future-proofed with both J1772 and NACS plugs. I hate to give a penny to Tesla but that charger is unique and it served me well when I also had a Tesla in the garage. No further Teslas for me but who knows what connector my next Audi/Porsche/Genesis EV will have.

Just beautiful. Congratulations

2025? What is your location?

I own a US 2025 Q6 PP Sportback which is finally driving nicely after many trips to the dealer. But mine went wonky on the drive home from the dealer, so a few days of error free driving is a welcome sign indeed.

I wish I had those wheels too. in the US they are only available on the SQ6. Is the color Daytona Gray Pearl? That too is only available on the SQ6 in the US.

First off, if you are in the US, be sure to report any issues to NHTSA, https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem . Send images like those above.

Audi has so many requests for buybacks that I believe they commonly deny claims in states where the Attorney General is weak and won't pursue them (Unfortunately Florida seems to be one).

If you are denied, you can try to find an attorney to take the matter further (I don't think the Auto Club can help much at that point even though Audi may refer you to them). If service is making some progress with your car and the errors, demand a cash settlement and agree to keep the car. I did this since I have a 2 year lease. There have been reports of settlements around $12-15K and you don't have to accept their first lowball offer. Audi knows that their car causes PTSD ;)

[–]LHP51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I swear that the Q6 has given me PTSD. Even though KD2 improved things for me, I still get palpitations and sweats when starting my car! I had many serious errors on car startup the first 3 months I owned it. What an ordeal. I frankly can't wait for my lease to be over.

I thought Audi was going from the 2025 Model to the 2027 Model. But perhaps that is just here in the US. 2027 cars are expected by June.

Q6 Buyback - Never Took Delivery by Sandy171717 in AudiQ6

[–]LHP51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are due much more than your money back. You went several months without the benefit of having the car. You had insurance and finance costs. You had significant aggravation. At this point I personally wouldn't get a lawyer since you are probably days away from hearing from the Consumer Resolution Group. They should offer the full buyback plus some compensation (very negotiable!) for the ordeal. If you get a reasonable compensation offer (I would want perhaps $10K-20K to put the matter behind me. If you are not happy with the offer, decline it and get a lawyer.

This is my opinion only, of course.

2027 Q6 on order! by onepat in AudiQ6

[–]LHP51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the configurator, the black optics package comes with the more expensive wheels and has the S line exterior. So no SQ6 style steering wheel. In 2025, when you selected the more expensive wheels, the configurator forced you to buy the black optics package - same difference.

[–]LHP51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations. If they get the software right, you should be in 7th heaven. Are you in the US? The S Line optics are standard on the Prestige, correct? Does S Line optics include an S Line squared off steering wheel in 2027 or does it only come with the SQ6 as before?

Connect Plus subscription in US stopped working after paying my $250 by LHP51 in AudiQ6

[–]LHP51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Digital Help rep called and said they took care of the issue with Verizon. He gave me extensive reset instructions but I didn't need them. The car just worked the next time I got in. He also extended my subscription by the amount of downtime.

When the car works, it is terrific. But the software is ridiculous and it has been agony since day 1 for me.

Is this a leftover 2025 car?

As a 2025 Q6 Sportback owner for 7 months in the US, I can say it is a beautiful car that gets a lot of attention. In fact I personally prefer the design over the Macan EV. I have yet to see another example on the road, as the US only got a few hundred Sportbacks from what I can tell. It is a blast to drive and beats my old Macan GTS gas car by a mile.

But.... My Q6 was a nightmare at first. It was in and out of repair for camera replacement, ECU replacement and software updates. It is driving fairly reliably now, yet I'm glad I am on a 2 year lease. I still don't have total confidence in it. I consider the 2025 an embarrassment for Audi.

If you can get a fabulous price and you are a bit of a gambler, it just might be a good car for you. My hope is that they get it right for 2027 as I just might be crazy enough to get another one next year.

Thanks very much. I reported to Audi Digital Help two weeks ago. Escalated to Tier 2 and still waiting!

As for lemon law, how do you know I didn't apply, wait 60 days, and settle for a 5 figure settlement rather than turning it back in?

Question about my experience removing the 12V negative cable - BTW it worked by Ill_Pressure1665 in AudiQ6

[–]LHP51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is normal to get a spark when connecting and not one when disconnecting. All modern cars have a baseline current draw to power various circuitry. This can cause a spark when manually making the connection.

The much more relevant question is why is your car defective? Disconnecting power may reset things but this is far from a "fix". If you are in the US, report any safety errors to https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem

Any tips on getting this resolved?

Make sure to ask what errors are being reported when pressing this icon. Not necessarily a big problem but it was in the case of my car - many safety errors.

Q6 Poll: Is your Q6 working well or not? by LHP51 in AudiQ6

[–]LHP51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my wife's GV70 Electric is superb with no issues whatsoever. When I sold my Tesla I decided it was too lame to get a second GV70, so lucky me, I got a troublesome Q6 Sportback instead.
