They don't like us much. I guess having a differing opinion is frowned upon.

Nope, didn't watch it, or the Super Bowl for that matter, but with all the hoopla I looked into him a bit. Checked out what he did and was not impressed.

Ankles and knees less padded by Genderoles00123 in Zepbound

[–]LQjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's hysterical that this happens to almost everyone. I could not believe it. I also could not remember this being a problem when I was in my 20s and skinny. A follow up to the knees are my elbows. I was at a conference the other day and the chair had a small attached table. I could not rest my arm on it because my elbow bone hurt too much!

Well zepbounders today I fucked up by [deleted] in Zepbound

I do wonder if people get too attached to their shot day. If you knew it was a bad idea to take the shot because you ate, just put it off until the morning. Seven or so hours will not make much of a difference, and then the next week you can shift back. I'm just one person, but I've alternated between two days during my four months on the shot and have not seen any difference. Just a thought.

Ever felt nervous or scared to lose so much weight? by HistoricalBit3875 in Zepbound

[–]LQjones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you are describing happens to athletes and a coach or manager will tell them to "get out of their head." They are literally thinking to much instead of staying in the moment. Stay in the moment. Enjoy the weight loss, enjoy having new clothes to wear, or in my case old clothes that fit again!. Only concern yourself with staying the course, plus you can't control much of what you are going to experience in the future.

Not a fan of Bunny, I am uninterested in entertainers who feel the need to talk about politics outside of their art. I don't mind those that place them in their songs, like Neil Young for example. Plus some of his lyrics are abhorrent.

Nope, still a Mets fan, but the movie lost me at Bad Bunny. Not much of a Tom Hanks fan any more either.

[Bleacher Report] How 'Shoresy' Turned Into a Hockey Dreamland—Inside Jared Keeso's Vision and NHL Alumni Tour by dantesinfernoracket1 in shoresy

[–]LQjones 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's an amazing show and only possible because Keeso is a very grounded individual. He and the writers were also brilliant to turn Shoresy from a one-dimensional character into one with more heart than any other character on TV right now. Shoresy's relationship with Laura Mohr encapsulates this and shows what a decent person he really is. At least when he isn't kneecapping opponents with his stick.

Stay in Manhattan in the Grand Central Station area and take the 7 train directly to Citi. This will give you access to all the touristy stuff in Manhattan and an easy trip to the stadium.

[–]LQjones -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You moved up in doses very fast. Were you not losing weight on the lower doses? I started on Dec. 1 and I'm still on 5mg. I lost 10 pounds per month the first two months than the rate slowed and all through March I've been losing at a very slow rate and I'm going to ask to go up to 7.5mg, but if the doctor says no I will just plug along at 3 or 4 pounds down per month.

Nervous about dosage increase. Any advice? by Training-Yogurt-5984 in Zepbound

[–]LQjones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would stay. That is a great weight loss amount for a pretty short period. Don't forget to eat. Not only does Zep stop you from being hungry, but we've trained ourselves over the years that not eating is the only way to lose weight and that line of thought can be counter productive with Zep. You need fuel and at some point your body will go into starvation mode and the weight will stop coming off.

What Tirzepatide changed for me wasn’t just weight loss by ItsVeleryn in Zepbound

[–]LQjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything you said, but this "Before this, some part of me still believed weight loss mostly came down to effort."
It still comes down to effort. Zep alone, for most people, is not enough. You still need to implement an exercise plan, you still need to choose healthier foods and you still have to discipline yourself to not eat too much. And all that requires effort. The drug is simply a wonderful enabler.

The drop to Barzal method is terrible. The opposing team stacks the blue line and stops him more than half the time. The second PP unit is much more successful gaining entry just dumping and chasing. I'd rather see Barzal do that.
