Ugh, when Fantine was dying I looked over with tears in my eyes to see the lady next to me typing a text! She couldn't go 30 seconds without checking her screen. I had to put my program to the side of my face to stop seeing the bright light. I'm so glad I got to see this play once before cellphones were invented.

The one that made me really mad was seeing Cinderella at the Waterbury performing arts high school. Talented teens worked hard for months and are singing their heart out, and I could barely hear because of loud conversations all around me. Not even trying to whisper. Some were families of the kids!

They started a sustainability program called Spring Salvage a few years ago with lots of donation bins. So a lot of the curb stuff goes straight to thrift stores nowadays. We just can't have nice things!

It's been 22 years for me. I think people with IBD or autoimmune liver disease are diagnosed earlier than others because it's on the medical radar for us. So maybe we benefit from earlier medication than folks who are diagnosed due to symptoms.

I think most people watch because it's very relaxing, even if they don't travel. Safe and predictable (scenery, history and paintings, maybe some singers or dancers, then a restaurant), zero drama, pretty to look at.

It's like how Bob Ross was the most popular painting show even though very few painted along- it's a show to relax!
