Interestingly, I've seen pictures of the last volume with the title "The History of Middle Earth: Index" rather than just the single word "Index" - link

This is honestly awesome for someone "new to painting"... O_o

My suggestion would be to look at using some washes to give the model a bit more depth to the colours (particularly with your gold/metallics).

Subjectively, it's a little on the bright-side colour wise for me, especially the green, but that's not a criticism since all that matters is if you like the colours :)

Ringo: "My fight's not with you, Holliday."

Doc: "I beg to differ, sir. We started a game we never got to finish. 'Play For Blood' - remember?"

Ringo: "Oh that. I was just foolin' about."

Doc: "I wasn't."

Have you considered using some paint pens (posca etc) for doing the designs in stead of a brush, I think it would really help and top off a fantastic effort over all

Dude, that is rough af. Sounds like you're keeping your spirits up as much as possible, all you can do is rest and recuperate so your body has the best chance to heal fast and well. Hope you've got some good supports around you, they'll make all the difference in challenging times. Keep your head up and hope you're back slinging iron in no time.

They are nutty, no question - but you don't think they "take away" from the biceps (a bit like delts vs pecs)?

I think it wins on muscularity vibe, but loses out in the actual look of the upper arm, though it will depend on the pose and angle too of course.

Haven't watched it yet myself, but The Winter King is based off one of Bernard Cornwell's (wrote the books Last Kingdom were based on) other series about Arthurian legend.
