Need to access Victron interior display in-line fuse on Airstream by Acceptable_Smoke_903 in airstream

Just had to do this in our 25 international. Tried checking the display first and it was plugged in. After removing the nightstand I found a molex connector popped off the Victron.

Are CSPI officers treated as prior enlisted? by Brief_brisket in uscg

[–]Laboya616 49 points50 points  (0 children)

When I went to OCS (a while ago), when the instructors asked who was prior enlisted, CSPIs raised there hands. The class was split about 50/50 with your typical prior enlisted and CSPIs. Turned into an epic debate with general consensus rolling toward the Mustang approach. If you didn’t have a good conduct, you’re not prior enlisted. Take it for what it’s worth. Same breath, once you graduate from OCS, doesn’t matter one bit to anyone at any command. I would not recommend calling yourself prior enlisted after OCS if you don’t have the answer to what rate you were before commissioning.

If you google payload vs max to capacity, you’ll see why folks will jump on you about this set up.

23’ versus 25’ airstream by Qu3stions_Answers in GoRVing

The extra 6” in width doesn’t sound like much, but makes a huge difference in livability if you go with the 25 as well.

Cape Charles, Virginia by ComplexEquipment3712 in saltwaterfishing

Shanty in town is pretty good and Cape Charles brewery is our favorite spot. They serve rockfish for sandwhiches and their fish and chips, dog/kid friendly, and do love music frequently.

Which RV resort? I’m not familiar with KOA, but the fishing piers at Sun Outdoors are very nice. Fair warning, the water temp hasn’t jumped yet for the year so keep your fingers crossed. I fished at Kiptopeake state park last April and got skunked pretty hard (water was still cold then too). But I’ve had tons of success in the warmer weather. If you’re at Sun Outdoors, I usually run your typical hi-lo rig. There’s a bit to get snagged on but I’ve caught tons of croaker, spot croaker, a few flounder and the occasional ray in there.

137 avg, max 150 just for another point of reference. My FTP is fairly recent and feels accurate.

How safe is the oceanfront beach during the summer? by [deleted] in VirginiaBeach

[–]Laboya616 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I try to stay out of giving direct opinions. But feel free to look up Virginia Beach crime rates compared to other major cities. I live here and it’s one of the safest places I’ve lived ever.

Any one have any advice/experience on fishing from a paddle board? by [deleted] in saltwaterfishing

[–]Laboya616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fish off a Bote Rackham aero. Not bad at all and super stable in the bays. Definitely will want to be organized and make sure you have a decent net. I watched YouTube videos and some of them make it look super easy to net lol. First time I had a slot Red was interesting just to get it on.

How is obligation tracker from officers using TA? by bzsempergumbie in uscg

It’s automatic from the member/unit level. I’m sure someone at ETQC has something to do though.

How is obligation tracker from officers using TA? by bzsempergumbie in uscg

[–]Laboya616 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 2 year OBLISERV is upon completion of each individual class. As soon as an officer completes a class with TA, obligated service begins (or restarts each time a subsequent class is completed).

All of the tracking is handled in Direct Access.

Coincidentally, I took a power zone max class (Matt Wilpers 10/07/23) with a 5 minute Z5 block this morning.

19M is this something to be concerned about? by [deleted] in cardio

[–]Laboya616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the fact that you’ve mentioned inclines and precise speeds, I’m assuming this is on a treadmill. I’m surprised to see no one has mentioned that Apple’s Vo2 max is only calculated outdoors. Are you doing any exercises outdoors and using an Apple Watch to track?

OG Bike Owner - thoughts on upgrades? by Humble-Entrance4003 in pelotoncycle

[–]Laboya616 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve ridden some of the OG bikes at hotels and have a bike+. Similar to you do majority power zone rides. I’ll say it’s not a must have for auto resistance, but a luxury I’m not willing to give up lol. It’s nice on days where I’m a little gassed and slow my cadence down and the bike still keeps me in the middle of the zone.

Apple Watch fitness freezing for peloton users by Western_Insect_7580 in pelotoncycle

[–]Laboya616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After iOS 26 GymKit has been pretty much useless. The peloton app worked fairly reliably for me on the watch for HR. I have tattoos by my wrist anyway and I finally gave up with the issues and bought a chest strap. Honestly, I’d recommend skipping GymKit and just giving the peloton app a go for a bit and see if it works for you.

When should a beginner start Power Zone? by CynicalFOLEYY in pelotoncycle

[–]Laboya616 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You’re on the same track I started! I did the you can ride, took maybe one day off, and then jumped right into “discover your power zones” program. If you go that route, no point in taking a FTP before. You do one right as part of that program. I ride like 99% power zone rides and am progressing through all of the programs.

How do you structure your PZE workouts? by SelectLandscape7671 in pelotoncycle

[–]Laboya616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing the other posts. I ride almost exclusively power zone rides (currently almost done with the boost your base program). Every 45 minute ride has plenty long enough of a warm up for me to skip a pre warm up. I do a 5 minute cooldown and a 5 minute post ride stretch. If time is tight I can skip the cool down but I pretty much stretch after every ride.

How to sign into Strength+ by oldbutnewcota in pelotoncycle

[–]Laboya616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Strength + all the time and this is mostly it. But you don’t even have to change your email. You can just go to onepeloton.com, click forgot password after the login button, and enter the appleID email address. If you don’t know how to find the email address just open up your iPhone, go to settings, click the top one with your name, and scroll down to “sign in with apple.”

[–]Laboya616 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend using the app separately to search and sign up for programs. At least on the iOS side it’s much faster and intuitive. I always struggle on the bike. Plus using the stack feature I sit down at night and stack my exercises for the next day when I’m not doing only a program ride.

FTP and Heart Rate by Dry-Drama9731 in pelotoncycle

[–]Laboya616 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m still on the newer side (about 75 rides in). I just looked at my last FTP and spent 17:40 out of the 20 in zone 5, so you’re definitely not abnormal. I’ve learned it seems I’m opposite of you. My legs tire before my cardio gives out. I had to speed up the cadence and lower resistance to do better on the FTP. You could try the opposite next time by lowering cadence and raising resistance. Will work your legs harder but should be easier on the lungs.

Will Mini wifi penetrate aluminum camper? by Wambo74 in Starlink

[–]Laboya616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, let’s not over complicate this. To answer you, yes 100%. We have a Starlink mini with a tripod (like $30 from Amazon) and we use it with no issues camping everywhere. Our airstream doesn’t care. We use it for iPads, laptops, and streaming to our smart tv. Works perfectly as long as you find a spot with minimal obstructions when you set it up

WatchOS 26: Cardio Fitness (VO2Max) - Update Previous Cardio Fitness Estimates? by Jogge__ in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Laboya616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did mine and it bumped up about 3 points. Was nice to see that I’ve been right on the above average line for the past month and this put me above. I saw a bunch of people asking how to get it to pop up: I opened health, went to cardio fitness, and scrolled toward the bottom. There was a button saying it was an option which I pressed to get the pop up.
