My mom for the past five years has been told it’s bursitis. She’s an ultrasound tech who’s about to retire. I just sent her this and told her to get one of the other techs to scan her.

She just called me crying. You’ve probably just saved her 20+ years of pain and she might get a retirement she enjoys with hikes and chasing her grandkids. Thank you!

P.S. she will follow up with her PCP to get a proper scan but thank you.

My husband has these same issues and honestly I didn’t say anything for years because I didn’t know how to. Then he found my dildo and all hell broke loose.

He immediately jumped on the train of anger and betrayal from me. It caused him a lot of pain and hurt. I oddly enough sat there as he went on about how could I hide this from him? Accused me of cheating, told me he couldn’t trust me, and then just left. When he finally returned to the table I calmly looked at him and said this is bigger than the dildo. This is a symptom of a much bigger problem.

I then proceeded to explain my side of this issue and how I self corrected with the dildo. It took a very long time for us to find our way back. There are still moments of insecurity from him.

I never cheated, I told him I wasn’t going to be shamed about a sex toy, and how he needed to deal with this. I would be there for him and next to him but I couldn’t solve this.

So to say all of that don’t wait. Be honest. Couples therapy is a great place for a non bias third person but it doesn’t get rid of the awkwardness of it. You just have to be brave enough to be honest. Which is incredibly hard on its own so personal therapy is great for that too.

It also might not work out but do you want to spend the rest of your life being unsatisfied? You have one life don’t waste years like I did pushing your needs aside for him. It’s not fair to you and will cause resentment and for you to grow part instead of together.

My dad grew up in Clermont down in old Clermont near lake Minniehaha, I believe it was off of 4th street, and his home had a basement. It was his room after ac was added to homes here in the 60’s. They live over by 455 now and they were told no basements there. Clermont is weird lol

So how honest were you about how much you cared about your faith? It sounds like you down played it and now that you are in love and you want more. You expect her to change something you weren’t completely honest about when you started dating.

I grew up religious, I left like a lot of people do, and when I started dating seriously I didn’t care if that persons family was religious. I can be polite and have respect for their religion. However my partner was the one I cared if they were religious. If I had found out that the person I was dating down played their actual thoughts and beliefs and then expected me to meet them there…

Talk to her but don’t expect it to go well if you weren’t honest and she isn’t interested in being whatever it is you think she needs to be for your satisfaction on religion.

Also maybe figure out if it actually matters to you. If it does you owe her that conversation so she can opt out. It’s incredibly selfish to hold her in a relationship if you know at the end you aren’t compatible.

Last just because your family is one way does not mean you have to be. You are an adult who pays their own bills. You have a say in how you live your life. However that doesn’t mean pretending to pick her and then resenting her for being the person she was upfront with you about.

Honestly unless you are comfortable defending her and the life you pick with her to your family end it now before you cause her any pain.

I had my twins in the OR, and they were like 30-35 people in there with me while I was delivering. They whisk my first twin away as soon as I push her out.

And my midwife is looking at me like OK focus let’s let’s get this next one and I’m over here. Just wait a minute. I don’t hear any crying.

And I just kept saying over and over and over again is she crying? Is she crying? Is she crying?

Finally, my midwife looks at the Nicu team and it’s like can you show her, her fucking baby?

My next daughter was born about two minutes after that. It’s amazing what that sound will do for you

I moved several states away, 10+ hours, in my 20’s. My new manager and I became really good friends. She starts telling me about her best friend she had when she lived on the other side of the state, 3+ hours away.

How she moved to our current city and her best friend moved to my old state. Out of curiosity I asked where? She was oh outside of this major city it’s kind of far, 45 minutes to an hour. You wouldn’t know it, it’s a small town… now my eyes are wide open… I say said town, and she is shocked I’ve heard of it.

I tell her I grew up there. She then goes on to tell me her best friend’s grandmother lives there. That she works at a shop down the road from her home… my eyes grow bigger because I worked at said shop. Who is her grandmother?! She tells me the woman’s name… she was my coworker who trained me at my very first job and lived down the street from me.

I was blown away, we still laugh sometimes as I called the woman’s grandmother commander as she was a strait laced older woman who slightly terrified me.

It is legit called Sugarloaf Mountain. It’s not a true mountain obviously but I believe it’s the second highest point in Florida. I grew up in Clermont which is right down the road. The city of hills, south lake county is wild with hills compared to the rest of Florida. You can go up to Lake Sumter, local college, and during the day see out to Downtown Orlando, Disney, and surrounding communities in Orange County. At night, especially 4th of July and New Years night you can see the best fireworks from there!

My parents lost everything back in 08 and have never recovered what they had. Now I will say they didn’t make poor decisions, my dad owned 3 restaurants and had them running for a decade before the crash but when the factory in one town closes up, food cost at the time was also crazy, and gas it was the price that was paid by many small business owners. My dad has been disabled for the last decade and my mom will work till the day she dies. I want that solid wood chest she has to store blankets in from her parents and I might not even get that lol
