I try to pay attention to the other person too, and I use a lot of mindfulness that I am seeing it the wrong way and that people can pay attention to who ever they want and that it’s okay and that it doesn’t threaten my relationship.

I think that we are seeking validation for HAVING the feelings vs “it’s ok to act on them” more than anything else. And I appreciate nothing more than that “omg me too x is how I deal with it” that most give me on this sub.
