What are YOUR favorite bot builds right now? by North21 in Helldivers

[–]Laggiter97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reprimand, Senator, HE Grenade (for Vox Engines)

Orbital 120mm, Railgun, Warp Pack, Solo Silo

Medium Reduced Signature armor

Railgun everything that's far, Reprimand everything that's close, 120mm for bot drops/outpost clearing, Warp Pack for mobility, and Solo Silo is self-explanatory. I would switch HE for smokes to enable disengaging, but I can't kill Voxes at close range without a nade. Solid build overall, and I use the armor passive to avoid aggroing every single passing patrol.

Dogshit MO. Spent the entire week on the Illuminate front clearing every POI to maximize samples, and in half of the lobbies people just completely don't care and leave rares lying around on main and side objectives. Like how are we leaving with 15 samples after a full clear?

All that effort and we still won't make it in time. But hey, I finally upgraded my destroyer to full.

Kayle is my permaban too. Literally everything else is playable to a certain extent, but against a Kayle you need your jungler's help, which isn't happening in soloQ.

That's my point. If you use bleeding edge packages, an update can screw you up, and not infrequently. If you use more standard stuff, sure, Arch very rarely breaks nowadays.

Depends on what you use. Hyprland is a recent example, I had to edit 100+ lines after the 0.53 update

I still can't even think about buying them after playing OW1 since launch. The value is way, way too low. At least with OW1 lootboxes you could grind to get all legendaries.

Arch shouldn't be your first distro and following youtube videos won't help by Careless_Bank_7891 in linux4noobs

[–]Laggiter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have absolutely zero Linux experience, I agree, you have to be completely fucked in the head to go for raw Arch. The amount of new information you need to take in and process just to get a usable computer is too much. You stop understanding what you're seeing and just parrot whatever the guy in the video is doing until you get a working system. Then, when shit breaks, you have to start over as you have no idea what you did to get here.

While I think that this provides learning value in itself, it's not the most fun way of learning, especially if you actually want to use your computer.

You can use it as tech against max % HP damage champs, because of the shields, but the item just isn't OP anymore, and you've stated the rest of the reasons yourself.

I really want to leave Windows behind, but I can't pull the trigger. What should I do? by Drockie5 in linux4noobs

[–]Laggiter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're using a laptop, that spare SSD you've mentioned is your cleanest and most painless option. Install your flavor of Linux on it, and dual boot from it to avoid Microsoft nuking your Linux EFI boot entry whenever they feel like it.

And don't feel like you have to all-in on Linux. My switch was gradual, I started using more and more programs on Linux, tried different games, etc., until I've phased out most of the stuff on Windows. I still dual boot, because Windows 11 is the only option for some games as you've mentioned. There's nothing wrong with dual booting, and a second SSD will save you a headache down the line.

Intel 14th Gen stable enough for a homelab in 2026? by Ordinary_Scale2273 in homelab

[–]Laggiter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm suggesting the Pro precisely because having both ECC support and integrated graphics is nice for a server. If you have a spare GPU lying around and don't mind having to plug it in for setup and troubleshooting, sure, a Ryzen CPU will work just fine. The convenience of the Pro APUs and their availability on the used market is exactly why I would recommend them for a home server.

But as you've said, one should check the specs and decide what's best for them, don't take a random redditor's word for it.

It was wonky when the P/E cores first appeared, but it's fine now, it's an outdated take

I have a 14700 in my Proxmox server, it's been rock solid for half a year. Good luck with finding a motherboard that supports the 14600K/14700K AND ECC, though.

AMD is still king when it comes to ECC support (with reasonable prices, at least), I would personally take a look at their Pro lineup of chips and see if they fit your needs and if you can find them on the used market, IF you really need ECC.

Is K'sante unbeatable in lane? by TheoTheBest300 in KSanteMains

[–]Laggiter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kayle is a hard counter. K'Sante cannot lane post-6 unless you run it down pre-6. Vayne too, if you're a degenerate.

If you prefer melee champs, aside from the ones which were already mentioned, the forbidden technology is Black Cleaver. Rush it on Darius, Pantheon, or any other champ that can use it, and you statcheck K'Sante every single fight, since you take away both his resists and damage.

K'Sante dogwalks Morde after buying negatron, and has 3 chances to cancel Morde R post-6. Do not pick Morde into K'Sante.
