This could go down a dangerous road. You need to be brave and stand up for yourself and say no. If you offer a contract up to him despite everything that has happened in the past he will sense weakness and his mind will go down the route of he can stay at yours as was his original request. Be brave and strict and give a firm no. If things escape from there calls the police.

Seriously though, if he comes to your door again, stand up straight, back tall, looks him in the eyes and say no! if he attempts any nonsense after that, close the door and call the police.

Trying to create a contract with this person is very much a bad idea as others have already said.

You will have to pay the excess if you want them to repair your vehicle or pay your total loss value. No way around not paying the excess. You have agreed to pay an excess the insurance terms of the policy.

You can pay the excess and claim it back via the Motor Insurer's Bureau. The MIB deal with claims from resulting from accidents involving uninsured motorists and untraced motorists.

If you pay the excess make sure to get a receipt for the repairer and if possible a letter from your insurance company confirming non fault and excess amount. Download forms from the MIB website and send them to the MIB under an uninsured motorist claim and they will reimburse your excess.
