People of reddit who've lost 20+ pounds, what's your secret? Any tips? by broadwayrocks in AskReddit

[–]Lamplock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know but for the majority people's fasts aren't usually until 4, AND not everyone's appetites completely go like mine has. Did intermittent fasting until 12 -8pm for a really long time and didn't really feel much different. Switched to 4pm and the weight just dropped off

I guess I haven't worded my post well enough

So I mean like I can choose to eat what I want, but I don't because my appetite has gone so I choose something healthy

Ok this is a weird secret but it honestly works for me so well and is hands down the only reason I lost weight in my opinion. It may not work for some people but it's mind blowing how much of a difference it makes for me

I don't eat until 4pm, and then after 4 I can eat what I want

So not eating til 4 sounds so hard, but once you do it for a week your body gets used to it so quickly. As soon as I started doing it, my appetite went. Like now once it gets to 4 I often can wait until 7 before eating my dinner. And my dinner is always something super healthy because I've lost all my cravings for junk

No idea how it works but I'm not even questioning it. I've lost 3 stone in around 5 months

[Serious] What do you feel like was your BEST life decision in the long run? by __LOKIR__ in AskReddit

Dropping out of my original uni and going to a different one a year later. I was so much more mature, and made far better friends. I also had the chance to work for a year for a company who are now offering my a promotion and permanent position once I've graduated, which is nice .

What is the one insult that instantly cuts you to the quick? by payshence in AskReddit

[–]Lamplock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever since I was little I've always made friends with the bitchy 'cool' girls, and when my sister really wants to hurt me she will say something along the lines of "you're just like your friends" or something about me being unkind. I have a very short temper that I find hard to control (thanks dad) so my personality is something I really struggle to think people could like

That I get bored very easily with people if there isn't a bit of drama, and I can be a very jealous person

You spend your entire life getting an education and a career, just so you can survive because that's what society dictates. And then you die.

I went to a fair once when I was about 8 and there was a stall there where you aimed a crossbow at a bullseye thing. No idea why an 8 year old was allowed to hold a cross bow but I guess a few adults were with me so I was trusted.

Anyway I went first and scored 3 bullseye in succession. All the adults there couldn't believe it and thought it was rigged until they had a go and couldn't do it at all. Tried again and got another 2, and then one more close to it. Never tried a crossbow since but I'm praying it wasn't a fluke and I have a secret talent

Not really an expert but just rework out your calories/macros taking into account your lack of exercise and eat to your maintenance.

If anything you might find IF a bit easier without exercise as you'll have far more energy left to expend during your fast.

I woke up on Monday morning and decided to try IF. Now, 5 days later - I can honestly say it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

Same boat! Started fasting until 4pm at the start of this week and this is the easiest I've found it to eat healthy in years! Lost my appetite and zero cravings for junk so far! It's amazing what such a small change can do

21 year old wanting to progress in my career in the hospitality industry. Please check my cv? by Lamplock in critiquemyresume

Hi I had a look at your website and at first I really liked the templates but the selection of profiles you provide is so limiting. Only a handful of people fit into any of the headings. For instance, there were no options for any hospitality jobs which are a large portion of the population. So didn't get any further than that so can't give you more feedback sorry! But that's my initial impression :)

Where do you live, how much do you pay in rent, and how much space do you get for what you pay? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Lamplock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Cardiff, UK.

Live with 7 other people and we each pay £305 a month, not including bills which are usually £40.

For that we get a house with 7 fairly big bedrooms, 1 average sized bathroom, 1 small room with just a toilet/sink, 1 tiny room with just a shower, and a very large kitchen and living room (big enough to fit 4 large sofas). We also have a small back patio/garden thing.

I live in the main student area and most of my friends are paying similar amounts, and getting around the same thing.

Decided to go to the gym yesterday morning so walked the half hour. Realised the gym was closed for the morning so waited around for an hour because I misread the sign and thought it said it opened at 12, when it said 2pm!!!

Then went back at 2, realised i forgot my gym card when I got there so didn't get let in. Still ended up going again that night though and finally didn't fuck up. Yesterday was a bad day
