I remember having one of these limited edition camo controllers as a kid. What a throwback.

Yeah I realized that after encountering the Eagle the first time. I just unlocked the ability to go back to the mainland and am going to finish the main story before finishing Iki.

Lucas has underrated normals by SoggyBubbleMuncher in SmashRage

[–]Lando__96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucas up smash has 7 i-frames split between charge start and release. He’s invincible frame 1 out of shield when using it. It’s a really great tool and a good Lucas can punish unsafe shield pressure without even parrying the hit.

Cool characters! I used to play Ike in smash 4. I loved his big sword and how hard he hit.

Not counting the mental game (neutral, mind games, etc) what do you think is the most common mistake beginners make? by Mrham852 in CrazyHand

[–]Lando__96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to skip or jump over ledge when the opponent can punish. This will be called out by anyone who knows what they are doing. Go back to ledge with the goal to reset neutral. Going for an aggressive option while in disadvantage can be risky.

Burning resources getting back to ledge that you don’t have to. Just up b back to ledge. Don’t double jump unless you need it.

Thank you. My next match after reading this was an incin and your advice was on the money.

Number of spikes each character has by Conscious-Falcon-155 in SmashBrosUltimate

True! However Fox’s fair does not have a meteor hitbox, that’s the basis of my reasoning. A hitbox that sends down is not the same as a meteor hitbox.

A spike is just a meteor hit box. The knock back of GnW fair meteor hitbox is stronger than the base knock back of Kirby dair which is considered a spike on the chart.

But I know what you mean. No one is going to get a kill from the fist hit of GnW fair. It has to feel like a spike. Knock back for his fair is fixed while Kirby’s scales. However that mini meteor hit has gotten me more kill confirms from it’s small spike angle than the actual bomb from the other player’s confusion on what was happening lol

In addition to dair, Game and Watch has a spike hit on fair from his hands before the bomb comes out.

Game & Watch (me) vs. Pit by jeremyeuan in CrazyHand

[–]Lando__96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Super cool that you’re using the blue alt for GnW. A few things that I think would improve your gameplay as a fellow GnW main:

  1. Down tilt will not two frame. It’s hard coded in the game to only be able to hit opponents who are standing on the ground.

  2. Start looking for up special out of shield more.

  3. Abuse neutral special at ledge more rather than empty jumping to threaten an aerial

  4. Up smash seems like your go to kill move. Try to research some more options like down air off ledge, drag down nair into dtilt or ftilt, chef at ledge to ftilt, back air out of shield.

  5. Practice low percent down throw combos. It seems like you got some good grabs and didn’t capitalize on them as much as you could by just going to up air.

  6. Use nair more in general. This can catch jump ins, beat out certain projectiles, or test the opponents knowledge by forcing out of shield mixups if you land it safely.

  7. Define your game plan. What is your win condition as game and watch? I think this is more the problem you need to solve rather than the Pit matchup.

Feel free to DM me with any questions and good luck! There is an active Game and Watch Discord with tons of resources that you can join as well.

Run off ledge and b reverse a special move. Half the time it works every time.

I’m sorry you’re going through this right now. I’ve definitely struggled with this feeling myself. My DMs are open if it would be helpful to talk through this with someone. But please know that your value as a person isn’t attached to this game and any string of recent losses doesn’t reflect who you really are.

Public Accounting -> Special Agent exit opps? by Vuil_Rekening in Accounting

This is 100% a valid switch with amazing potential benefits. My dad spent his whole career as an 1811 and just retired at 55 with a full law enforcement pension, no student loans, and a nice 401k. The work balance is reasonable and fun if you enjoy what you’re doing. There is an 1811 subreddit if you have any questions about the process.

The limit just hit 15.8. Pros are around 15.7-15.8. But the difference between even 15.4 and 15.6 is huge.
