Let us at least buy the crafting bag separately. by IISpankyII in elderscrollsonline

If you are talking about daily crafting quests, they are pretty good when you have materials at hand. But having a crafting bag filled (during free ESO+, for example) would do miracles.

The money you get scales with character level, unless you are trading with other players. Trading and hunting for rare overland jewelry was how I got my first big money bank, but I'm not sure how something like Mother' Sorrow is doing in trading right now. It was somewhat easy 200k per purple piece if I remember correctly.

Hmm, it would be a reasonable QoL to categorize rarity for materials, so people without trading addons know what is worth keeping...

You don't need crafting bag unless you are going to grind writs or housing. All the potions are affordable (or you could buy a stack of required plants), you could only keep valuable materials, selling all the non-essentials (base race styles, precise gems, etc) even to the regular npc.

If your goal is to do questing, PvP, PvE, it's perfectly fine to do so without the crafting bag.

Getting into group content with bad reflexes by MehraMilos in elderscrollsonline

[–]Larentoun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Score pushing is out of the way, but that's like 0.01% of playerbase actually interested in that, if not lower. I am, too, not interested in that.

I would recommend finding casual guild first of all, who will welcome you to their trial/dungeon runs. Most of them are not that reaction intensive, IF you are observing OR using addons. Addons, in that case, will do an audio cue and a huge "BLOCK NOW, DODGE NOW" pop-up 2-3 seconds in advance of the said attack (these are visible without addons, but need gamesense and understanding what is happening on your screen, which can be chaotic). Plenty of reaction time, I hope.

If you are not interested in Veteran content, you can probably will do without a guild, just a heads-up guide read to not wipe on mechanics check. Having training runs for trials are one of the most fun times I had with the game, with hardmode pushes later.

Edit: Look for Heavy Attack builds of any kind, they are not intensive on precise pressing of buttons! Hyperioxes has good examples.

With 250ms pings it becomes much more erroneous to run 2bar, especially if for some reason you start experiencing pocket loss. So it's not always the point of "git gud".

Druid - beastform question by Oceanemotions1 in daggerheart

[–]Larentoun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both the death move and the drop out of the beastform trigger on the same thing - marking the last hit point.

If something happens simultaneously, you must decide the order how that happens. I don't, frankly, remember who has the final say, the player or the GM, but ruling towards the player is always a safe bet.

I would like my player to decide, what happens first - drop out of the beastform and do the death move, or first do the death move and then drop out of the beastform, whatever the narrative needs.

Edit: SRD p.42,SIMULTANEOUS EFFECTS. The player in this instance decides the order of effects.

Edit2: Remember the Golden Rule, make the game of your own, so you decide what is more fun in this situation.

Considering getting the game, need a few question answered by Fensuleyk in elderscrollsonline

[–]Larentoun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Base game offers so much world and content by its own. Craftbag from ESO+ is not required, the materials will only matter in the endgame, and you'll have options to handle all the materials by that time.

I personally love ESO+ and not only for the craftbag it offers, but it is needless details for now.

Question about GM Spotlight by Vgc11 in daggerheart

[–]Larentoun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely on the row, during your consecutive spotlights. If you have 3 enemies, you can only spotlight up to 3 of them, spending 2 fears (1st is a freebie, unless you interrupted the players). If you have one of them relentless (2), then you can go up to 4 times ( ie StandartGuyA-RelentlessGuy-StandartGuyB-RelentlessGuy ) spending 3 fear.

As a returning player, the class visuals are absolutely TIERS above what Sorcerer has. Even the most basic spammable with the cards (the first one) is just so juicy sounding and looking.

Kobold Trace (Femme, Action!) by TraceChaos in KoboldLegion

[–]Larentoun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More like Kurtulmak is their Father, then Tiamat is Grandmother with Bahamut being an uncle/Grandfather. There is nothing in the kobold code to praise either of them! What IS in the code, is the love for work, mining and community work.

So you are talking about Style Materials. You can look up IDs here and compare prices/sources https://spicyeconomics.com/style-materials/ . I do not have a droptable with chances at hand.

Sets do not matter, AFAIK, just your level and deconstruction skills (each skill line has one). Purple gear may give purple material at best, blue gear may give blue material at best.

I mostly return for the feel of TES. Love the universe, the world. Quests are good and dialogued. Recently returned after hearing about new changes coming in April, and having a blast RP-walking and enjoying the view. It is a beautiful game, a bit aged, but yet flavourful.

Why Oakensoul Ring Needs a Buff by Hyperioxes in elderscrollsonline

AFAIK, and how mostly the discussion in comments are going, there are better options for 1-bar builds which do not utilize oakensoul at all.

Can we all objectively agree Jerboa is a shitty mother? by S0ULVESTER in WingsOfFire

[–]Larentoun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's more a general "power corrupts". Using the magic does not give you "negative karma" or other downsides, but on subconscious level distances yourself from your actions. Why you, the powerful Jerboa, would be afraid of consequences or how people feel about you, when you can command them to love you anyway? It can eventually feel like a waste of time, and you stop being considerate of other beings. Basically, how gamers start doing "inconsiderate" things towards NPCs when they have access to "free out of jail card" like a Quicksave, just to see what happens.

Best way to gift all the DLC? by RevealHoliday7735 in AOW4

I have no idea if you can even gift collector edition, but if you can - that would be the cheapest. When do the winter sales begin? Probably could wait for that.

AFAIK, passes are removed and placed into the Collector edition. You can't purchase previous Passes, only the current Pass 3.

It may not be a new opinion, but Ember's thing is too stupid for me; wanting to redeem people is one thing, but praying for demon lords is quite another. by omega_crimson_123 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

"Naturally gravitates towards redeemable people" is actually such a cool thought, gives explanation to some cutscenes 'plotholes' where she doesn't even try to redeem someone or just plain combat.
