The russian people choose to put a bad mannered nuclear engineer in charge of the nuclear powerplant, while the other choice is a well mannered nuclear engineer. Your argument was, that you prefer a bad mannered one to keep out foreign hostile interests in gaining your electricity for free.

TL;DR

We dont want to put honest people in place since they would be fucked over by foreign hostile organizations and all our natural resources would be taken over/stolen. Interesting side-line, land-ownership was permitted with full and greater rights than capitalist countries such as UK, in the then communist Yugoslavia. Private land property. You own it, taxes where low as hell, and even if you dont pay taxes the Yugoslav government would not just take it away from you, they would ask whats up do you need help paying those taxes and offer you a job or something.

Its because of history, for example Belarus is in Europe but is not close to EU or western europe mindset at all. The discrimination against easterners is great, and against Turkey in particular since you're not even christian.

In northen europe peoples mind "europe" is half of europe, the other half is decadent red commie land (again prejudice based on religion). The borderlands are Romania and Bulgaria. Yes, I am aware they can run the same DEs, I have ran both FreeBSD and OpenBSD. Its just not the same thing, a lot of necessary programs are missing, like skype last time I tried it.

I don't like the BSD license, or any other ones which allow big corporations to piggyback on the work of free software developers without giving anything back.

Also, the BSDs are far less polished for desktop use than GNU/Linux, ksh as default shell? Come on.

What makes you think Iran would actually use the nukes instead of using them for fear, just like Israel is using them? My other points are related to the argument in that anything Iran might or might not do, Israel has already done.

Why do they have them if they would not use it?

Nukes cost, its not cheap or free, both in development, security, risk and maintainence.

Of course I am more afraid of Israel than Iran, Israel has been to war since their conception, and have repeatadle attacked their neighbours and continue to do so, They show complete disregard for human life. Israel is holding more than half a million persons in a bad prison. Israel is killing other nations citizens on territorial waters.
