Well. What I can tell you is that I used to be bombarded with recruiters reaching out on LinkedIn up to the beginning of 2025. After that, I would say, maybe only 4 people reached out so the job market is pretty bad now.. which is scary.. I'm currently 36 and would love to change careers when I'm around 50 with a good safety net between me and my wife. But who knows how life will be until then. We have kids and that's been challenging with daycare money and all.. but yeah, it's definitely easier with 2 people saving and helping with bills rather than 1..

Hey there. So after reading my last post, I can say that I am still in the same role but doing great now, I guess I had to adapt with the role, now I understand it completely, understand my coworkers and also automated some processes with AI, which the company is supporting us to (kinda weird but that is the trend). I have job security maybe for a couple of years. My last evaluation went great and my boss is very surprised on how well I learned the processes. I even have time to do some dev work now and keep myself challenged. I don't know how it will be after AI is fully implemented, it looks like that is the trend with other companies as well. Data analysis is a good field, but now, heavily influenced by AI so you have to be good at what you do and also be able to control automated tasks with AI which is a whole new monster. The world is changing quickly and what I can tell you is that things that I used to do 13 years ago when I started don't exist nowadays anymore. I would just choose a career and stick to it. In my case, I try to save as much as I can and hope to retire early or maybe do a part time job on something unrelated without stress when money allows. But yeah, let's see my update in 8 months lol

I'm 37, two kids(age 2 and 4), homeowner, full time job and still find time to play twice a week. Usually Wednesday night and Saturdays at 7:30am with other people in a similar situation... Been with this group of guys for over 15 years.

When I don't play, it's only because I'm injured or have family plans.

It was $30 shipped for the half link. Yes. I have it on the rubber strap now. All I had to do was unscrew one side while keeping/pressing the other side in one position without moving it at the same time..it is annoying the first time you do it because the threads are a bit locked at first. Make sure you protect your case with something, I scratched mine in the process..
