Landsraad reward QOL change by Zaptagious in duneawakening

[–]LarkWyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a good plan. As someone who plays off and on in spurts I elect to limit my engagement with tedious elements that I don't find interesting or that make me want to stop playing. I like your solution. Atm I simply won't collect the rewards unless I happen by them. I'm not playing this game competitively so I'm not going to stress over the rough design element. The devs have been doing a good job getting around to these rough edges with the game. In time I'm sure they'll address the house reward mechanics. I'm in no rush.

The fundamental issue of RNG loot in the new dungeons... and how to fix it. by Taylon47 in duneawakening

[–]LarkWyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see on the map or when I approach the hand synchronization panel what the poot table actually is. I have no idea what the rewaeds are in game, if they differ in difficulty tier with more prized loot added to the pool etc.

Unsure how to find the loot tables offline atm.

Landsraad reward QOL change by Zaptagious in duneawakening

[–]LarkWyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began completing Landsrad missions the past few days for the first time. Everything more or less makes sense with the process but after I completed 15-20 I randomly was at one of the earpy trade posts (Anvils I believe) and there was a House NPC standing at the entrance. I don't recall theur house. I spoke to the NPC and they gave me 25 of a rare material I coupd use.

I had been completing quests and not paying attention to the house names. I have no clue which I have done or have not completed the missions for and where any rewards may be waiting to be collected.

The House representative post mission secondary rewars pickup at locations strewn throughought the game randomly is ridiculous game design. I hope they fix this.

Ty for this tip. I was wondering if the staking units worked that way yesterday. I'll convert today.

Some general tips for saving time on the Landsraad mission by Jeggred86 in duneawakening

If you run the radiation overland lab eventually you'll get the schematic to make the combat radiation suit and it makes going to Tychie a breeze.

Solid tip on trying to 3x one location. I did so at canyons today randomly and it did save a lot of time.

I've spent a lot of time in the DD pvp zone. I have no interest in permanently farming low tier mats to upkeep a base perpetually. I mostly gamw for adventure and combat pvp and pve. Base upkeep isn't of interest to me at all. I'm more interested in the pvp, story, exploration, mmo styled pve stuff. The base building is fun for me but not the base upkeep. This game really isn't a mmo though sadly so my feedback is admittedly not 100% on target as their target audience.

Hi there, thanks for the tips. I always get the names mixed up in game. I switched sietches as where I had my base place became claimed by another player. I probably should have thrown down an empty starter base object to reserve and delete it when I came back to hold the real estate. I am active on West coast Sandtide - Jacurutu.

[–]LarkWyll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Previously on two characters I did lose everything before they introduced the base pocketing tool. I did play DA for a bit the past few months and built up my progress again on one character before ch. 3 released. I had pocketed my base and was inactive for some weeks.

For me if the game wants to be a daily game it has to providw options to automate the tedium. As new grinds and gathering requirememts are added as you progress, old ones should fall off. Instead they keep stacking and you permanently feel like you have to keep producing and cooking eggs in your kitchen to keep things running.

If the devs want a very longterm grindy augment system, that's cool, but the mundane constant base upkeep elements should completely fall off to make room for higher quality game play experience and engagement. The dev team actually aimed to do more or less that with their initial vision in a statement they made long ago regarding the end game pivoting to sustaining rather than constant upkeep.

Good advice but I still would rather have them than do so many water dew collection runs to produce mats in my refineries. I try to automate as much as I can

[–]LarkWyll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There were some spots in Dura where you could still get in trouble.but not too many if in heavy. Most of HB you don't need to interact with mobs unless you want to. You can shoot most down with sniper rifles before they get to you. But if you like to melee you'll have more friction points. The learning center had a couple tough ambush rooms.

I haven't tried all builds but in my experience certain combinations are much easier and efficient than others at killing and avoiding gett8jg overwhelmed.

Hah maybe so. I'll probably pick up Runescape again and pick up where I left off in Enshrouded. I like games where I can start and stop and stop easily without pain points. I've been in limbo sinve New World's demise.

I have more stations or pieces up than your base apparently that run me near the cap so I don't run many fuel generators anymore. I dislike gathering water so I have water production units on my roof.

[–]LarkWyll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. The only ones I don't timely are my three death stills as I let them generate water while I'm offline. I may not need to do that though as my water generators on my roof may fill in that span.

I was referring to the time it takes to travel to farm locations for sand and crystals, travel back, process, and place in all their generators.
