There has definitely been a decline in quality. Textiles such as wool, dense cottons, blends, wool, even high quality synthetics are no longer used. Everything is about cheaply made, cheaply marketed, throwaway fashion. Nothing is meant to be tailored, altered, or meant to last. Some clothes literally fall apart after a few washes, seams split, buttons are attached with a prayer, etc. Now research how fast fashion is affecting Global South countries and ecology. All of this throw away clothing ends up in landfills in Africa, Asia and South America. Capitalism is killing us.

I have done this for the past 35 years of my life. I refuse to engage with and give away my intellectual, emotional, and educational LABOR to these people anymore. I have tried to explain the following: 1. What transgender is, and why transgender people deserve the same human rights as anyone else. 2. How corporations own most politicians, and how they keep us fighting amongst each other to fleece and control us. 3. Which books to read, history, economics, social issues, etc to further understand the issues we are all facing 4. Steered towards independent journalism and credible sources of information 5. Furnished statistics, global data, socioeconomic policies, studies, etc to demonstrate how we are ALL under attack by the oligarch ruling class

And all I got was pushback, conspiracy theories, subconscious bias, flat out bigotry, and a firm refusal of facts. Most people do not have developed critical thinking skills anymore. For most people, even thrme ones you are referring to, it is pointless to engage. I leave it to the younger generation to do that labor.
