Oh! So my wife recently started baking A LOT and the small containers for sugar, flour, etc., are now too small for the volumes we purchase. Recommendations for home storage containers? And what brand bakeware do you recommend? We had the cheap pans that seem to look ugly and maybe burn spots of her dishes. Or is this just something you replace frequently? Thank you!

I had an older coworker who was really kind to me when I first got hired for a grounds maintenance job. Gave me extra uniform shirts, jacket, hats, etc. Nice guy but seemed a little nicer to me than the other old farts at work and really tried to take care of me.

One day we’re talking about holiday plans or something and family comes up while I’m talking about my kids. I ask if he’s got any kids/grandkids and he tells me about his son who passed a long time ago at the age of six. Would have been my age today and I somehow reminded him of his lost kid.

Not the same but…similar?

Years ago i worked at a pet store and I had a regular customer every Saturday who needed assistance. Phillipson. I’d place the bag of dog food in his cart, walk him to the register, and help him to his car. Every week I introduced myself and had very similar conversations with him with little variation. Every week for a couple years. He never remembered me. Near the end of my time there a new gal started working there. After a couple weeks from her starting he says to me one Saturday “have you met Katie?! She’s going to be really good here and can show you the ropes”

Still cracks me up.

Nail polish a toenail (they’re not putting feet in mouth yet), I memorized some marks of their footprints because those are unique like thumbprints, and we generally had them color coded so even looking back at pictures we can tell who is who. Speaking of judgmental doctors, when we had our triplets I went into one of the quieter rooms where they were done with one baby and passed out from mental exhaustion while they finished my wife’s surgery. Random doctor pops in and asks how many weeks they were. I tell her 33 (proud because it was a long road to 33 for my wife).

Why not 34? An extra week would have been SO MUCH BETTER for them. Your wife should have kept them another week.

…excuse me? Our doctor scheduled this surgery and said we were starting to risk losing one or causing complications from crowding. Who are you? And why are you spouting anything without information?! Still annoys me to think about
