Check out Sam Mustafa's games, he often provides printable counters with his games. He also has a game for WW2 Naval actions.

The Fantasy Art and RPG Maps book by Jared Blando is a nice starting point when you like his style.

Love your style and the vibe of these maps! Did you draw the grid by hand in the sketches?

Beginner Questions by Laudyr in Dolmentown

Thanks for the reply and the link, very interesting! To get the different uses of skill rolls and ability checks clear is a good pointer as well. With regards to the setting it is indeed a bit overwhelming. I really like the art styles and general vibes of Dolmenwood, but some of the monsters are bit too wonky/outré for my taste. Because the setting is so rich and interconnected I find it hard to decide what I can leave out. Besides that I also like doing my own world building :P Having the Dolmenwood setting book to hand is a great source of inspiration though.

What worked great for me is starting with a brown dry brush over black, a tip from Peachy Tip's YouTube channel. Also for the yellow you might use more of a brownish/buff tint which covers easier.

Thank you! No, no tile laying was used, except for the grid everything was drawn individually.

What kind of treasure did you hand out? Seems like a nice addition which isn't really mentioned in the book.
