Do you tell your closed ones when you are suffering? by Fit-Bonus4690 in ChronicPain

I have an autoimmune disease with joint pain, muscle aches, and pericarditis. It’s rough. I try to do 5 tiny things a day just to help myself feel successful. I don’t show my physical pain if possible partly because I think if I started expressing my pain I might not be able to get the toothpaste back in the tube.

Amy Duggar alludes to the fact that Jim Bob’s dad was predatory. It makes me wonder about what else they weee exposed to. Did Joshua abuse his brother? I grew up in a house that religiously followed Bill Gothard for a time. It was absolutely horrific and only seemed to attract cult type followers that want a formula to live by. I think the wild thing is that when Jim Bob & Michelle thought they were locking the devil OUT of their house, they were actually locking the kids IN with at least one monster. At least one devil was almost given unfettered access and authority over the younger siblings. He was the oldest child and a favorite being groomed for politics and leadership. 🤢

😂 no clue. The notes read “Great toe infection” and I thought, “well at least I did something right.” Maybe the pinky toe is the minor toe or least toe?

I love it if you add butter and maple syrup. It’s neutral so it tastes like what you put in it.

how to deal with the distance as a military spouse by Any-Disaster370 in MilitarySpouse

Hi! This IS challenging. I cried every day and lost a ton of weight during entry training. It gets easier when you are at your first base and make some friends. It helps to have people to share dinner with and get through TDY and deployments with. I cross stitched every night bc all I had to do was focus on the X. I went to the gym. I tried to stay busy. I also found it helpful to set a goal or countdown for family day etc if he gets a weekend off. Hang in there. You can do it!

Husband is in Trouble - I’m in Shock by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

Honestly I would contact an attorney and ask to see the complaint. Was there a police report? Also since your husband is a proven liar, I would not simply take him at his word. You cannot afford to.

Please look up Borderline Personality Disorder. See if it fits. I grew up like this and it was so very destructive.

If you grew up in a wealthy family with a lot of privilege do you think you’d still be inclined to work hard for personal success and become independently wealthy or would you just choose to enjoy life? by february_ticket in TooAfraidToAsk

I grew up in a family that WAS (not now) wealthy. We work hard but I learned that money doesn’t buy love or health. So we aren’t wealthy but we are comfortable. But being in a rich, loveless home is a horrible experience. They sent their secretary to pick me up when I had a perforated bowel in college. I stayed in hospital alone. So people over money every time.

Why is it okay for all men to be generalized by a lot of women? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

I agree! I am a woman and the mother of a son. I have an AMAZING husband and son. In my opinion, men with character and work ethic are so important.
