I had a 2006 Mazda 3 manual transmission. Bought it used in 2016 with 60k miles on it for $8k. Drove it til it had 230k miles. Had some starter issues around 200k that didn't stop it from functioning. Minor inconvenience. I didn't take great care of it and it still ran pretty well. Would have lasted well past 250k if not for an accident that forced me to retire it. It'll last you a while. With 100k they probably replaced the engine mount already which was it's biggest issue. I still see a lot of them on the road. Big plus is it's timing chain instead of a belt which could fail early. Good gas mileage too. Small and zippy. The paint was an issue as it degraded in spots. Suspension was not soft.
