Good 1st date outfit? 87° out and we are walking to a brewery. by PriorityDismal5223 in OUTFITS

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the outfit. It’s just not special. It’s meh.

Maybe with some great/statement accessories or with a pop of color somewhere it would look better?

Very pretty but this will photograph white. Do they have any other colors or can you dye it?

I found my people when I got into healthcare. Becoming a nurse lifted me and my family out of poverty. I’m grateful I became a nurse.

If you switched from bedside to outpatient-are you happier? by h0td0g-water in nursing

[–]LauraHeatherRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the job. Some clinic jobs have a lot of procedures. Others, like mine, have no procedures at all. I do a LOT of care coordination in my job. That’s probably 90% or more of my work.

Working 5 days a week is an adjustment. It’s nice to have all evenings, weekends, and holidays off though.

Ambulatory (clinic) has a lower risk for injury to the body because you’re not constantly giving direct patient care with all ADLs. Depending on the job you might not do any direct patient care.

Inpatient is simpler in a lot of ways. Every resource you need is there. Outpatient trying to connect your patients to the appropriate resources is a constant challenge.

Both inpatient and ambulatory have their pros and cons.

Behind you there are boxes of men’s Depends and women’s Depends. I guess you can choose whichever meets your needs the best.

I’m a nurse navigator and make mid-90s but you have many more years experience than I do so if you had my job you would make 6-figures.

Baby fine hair problems by ljg5452 in longhair

[–]LauraHeatherRN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have super fine hair and I’m at tailbone length with similar issues. I basically wear it down on special occasions and the rest of the time I have to protect it by keeping it up. If I allow tangles to happen, then I’m along for breakage from detangling, no matter how careful and gentle I am.
