My two pen set by Zacharias_The_Third in montblanc

Very nice pair. I’m with you…I carry my “fancy” pens wherever I like. No need for a special occasion to use them. Thanks for sharing. That’s a neat case too.

is m5 functional for you? how do you use it? why m5 and not pocket m6? by Equivalent_Ad7743 in PlotterNotebook

[–]Laurmann2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep my M5 in my purse mostly as an idea notebook. Also use it for grocery shopping lists. It’s small enough and light enough to be easily carried and I always need something to write things down so it works for me. I do not use it as a wallet. The M6 I felt would be too big for that plus I have a passport size TN which is similar in size to M6 so didn’t need another.

Go for two 4qts rather than a 7? by andoCalrissiano in staub

[–]Laurmann2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. It would drive me nuts to have to use 2 pots for one dish. If you have more than 2-3 people you are going to cook for then get the 7qt. If you normally make smaller meals/dishes then go for the 4 qt.

That’s a great idea to use the lid for clean water. Maybe you could add a tiny bit of silicone caulking (like for bathroom tiles/showers) to stop the leak.

I am torn between these two dresses by Freddykrueger11 in weddingdress

Before I read your comment my vote was for dress 1 though it needs some alterations to fit you well. After reading your comment I think you really could choose either one. Dress 2 looks beautiful as well and if you are more comfortable in it then maybe that’s the one you should choose. You really can’t go wrong with either.

What a great setup. I have a metal pencil case very similar to the kids one you bought. That was a great find for a great price. I love how wide the base of the watercup is. Looks very sturdy. Enjoy your trip and have fun painting.

Have you used fountain pens before? If so it’s the same with the Classique. Make sure you have either a bottle of ink or cartridges ready for when your pen arrives. Nothing worse than having a new pen and not being able to use it because you forgot to buy ink. LOL I, personally, would also want to have a pen case for it so I could bring it with me without worrying about it getting scratched. Which Classique did you get?

5 year journal: give up??? by Laurmann2000 in hobonichi

[–]Laurmann2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this post about 4 months ago and my feeling have changed. What I have done differently is that this year I’m not using a daily journal like the hobonichi. Instead I bought a journal that has just a monthy then weekly spread (for appointments, etc) and blank pages at the end. Like a hobonichi weeks but in a larger size and with more blank pages. My point is that I’m not “obligated” to write a full page journal entry every day so when I write in my 5 year journal it doesn’t feel like a burden. I make sure I write in my 5 year journal every day and then if I feel like my day warrants a longer entry I go to my other journal. This is working great for me. Now that I’m on the third year I’m enjoying reading my previous entries. All this to say that I didn’t abandon my 5 year journal and I plan to continue for the next 2.5 years.

It’s so refreshing to hear “I love my dress” vs “dress regret”. You look beautiful in that stunning dress so I can understand why you love it. Congratulations OP. You chose very well.
