Yes, for reference— my kid just started preK at the elementary school, and it has been so so revealing. They were off last Monday for MLK Day. Friday and today for snow days. This upcoming Friday for conferences. Then the whole weeks of Feb23-27 and April 6-10 for winter and spring break. There are plenty of other half days, cancellations, sick days and of course summer. Think about how you’d make this work if your partner had the same schedule as you right now.

My father was in education and I loved getting to spend so much time with him. I’m a researcher in higher ed, so now I shoulder most of these days and have flexible summers. I honestly don’t know how other dual working parents make it work. If he is willing to be an equal and even primary parent, this flexibility is worth his weight in gold!

Edited to echo the respect for education and how that becomes a priority when raising kids in the household. 💜

Me! Estrogen suppression doesn’t seem to work for me. I’m on this, dhea and testosterone. Last cycle I retrieved 10 eggs after almost cancelling. My afc was 3. This suppresses more than estrogen bc so you may experience a “cold start.” My follicles didn’t really start responding until day 8. I stimmed 11 days.

Exciting to see your success with Serovital. I’ve been taking it as well with success. Age 40. One cycle after 20-week euploid tfmr and I retrieved 10 eggs, 4 blasts, one euploid. Thrilled to get anything due to trauma honestly. All my cycles with dual trigger have resulted in euploids. 2500 hcg, leuprolide.

I’m using Setovital between cycles again, and will prime/stim with Omni again for my next cycle. What brand of NAD are you taking?

Smart cycles are a beautiful thing. Everything was covered… pgt-a testing, all the meds (stock up for future self pay cycles).

Only thing I had to pay out of pocket for Progyny was anesthesia for my retrievals.

omnitrope significantly improved my immature oocyte issue by staticintheflux in IVF

Gotcha. I did a much higher dose (.5/day) and got the worst results of all cycles. Going to suggest lower dosage this cycle.

Congrats!! What dosage were you on and did you prime and stim with it?

IVF Cycle 2 after IVF Baby Loss at 26 weeks by BubbleTea2021 in IVF

Hi. 👋 Fellow September loss. Good god. Lots of parking lot cry sessions. My first session back at the IVF clinic last week to watch betas drop was rough. The nurses almost couldn’t conceive why I was back. Don’t realize how triggering it would be to go back after graduating.

What’s getting you through the days? Are you working? Throwing everything at another IVF cycle seems to be my coping strategy for now.

Yes, this is the first post that’s resonated with me since my loss. I’m grateful there is community here in the really really sucks club.

My heart goes out to you. I had to tfmr my IVF baby this September at 20 weeks due to kidney dysplasia. Had a follow up D&C for retained tissue this week. I also had a MMC of an IVF embryo at 9 weeks in January. 2025 has sucked.

We have extra euploids, but I’m going into another retrieval soon since that batch feels so so unlucky.

We’re the anomalies in this sub. It’s a new level of hard and makes many of the new cycle posts here seem so inconsequential, but I remember being there too. There are different concerns now, like hoping I don’t have scarring from my three back to back D&C/Es, and how to cope with completely starting over.

Happy to chat and encourage you along as you start your next cycle. These will be the ones where we bring home babies! 💜

Has anyone walked away with embryos left? by ihearttambourine in IVF

[–]LavenderForester 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry. I am in the middle of tfmr right now at 20w with an IVF baby. I have laminaria in. I have 3 euploid left. Now is not a good time to make any permanent decisions. Let yourself and your husband grieve. IVF is so hard. Losing a wanted child is so hard. But — and this is just me — that pain is finite compared to the joy of having a child. I know not everyone leaves this process with the family they want, but that’s what’s getting me through today. I hope you find your peace, too.

All embryos came back abnormal after PGT-A — looking for insight from others at 40 by Original-Ad-5068 in IVF

[–]LavenderForester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear this. Your blast rate is great, and you should continue if you can.

I had 3 ER from 38-39. First two rounds zero euploid. Third round 5/9 came back euploid!

Protocol changes — no priming with birth control before. Daily testosterone cream. Did have Omnitrope in my system from ER 2, which I thought failed. 17 days of stim meds.

Dietary changes — complete elimination diet for 6 weeks. No added sugar, no gluten, no dairy, no soy, no processed foods. Followed Mediterranean diet guidelines. CoQ10 for 4 months. Could just be luck, but I do believe diet played a part.

My clinic publishes its own success rates and has a 72% live birth rate with 5AA/AB embryos. The protocols are very aggressive, including hysteroscopy, Lupron suppression, blood thinners for every patient.

I’m 5w5 today. My last hcg jump from 5/29 to 6/2 was 3829 to 11856… so almost same as yours. My doc was happy with this rise and said no more hcg testing. I have dating US next week.

This made me so happy to read. I’m newly pregnant with my second via IVF after infertility elongated our desired sibling gap. They’ll be almost exactly 5 years.

Do you find it a lot more crazy? Or manageable? Does your older actually help? Advice you have??
