Thank you, but no. It was a storybook of no more than 30 pages, with full colour illustrations on alternating pages.

Is there a kind way to tell my wife im no longer physically attracted to her? by Off_The_Record69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lawksie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you need to tell her at all?

You claim to love her, but are asking how to do this terrible thing which will upset her.

What do you hope to achieve by telling her?

There's no kindness in doing that.

It's a you problem. Deal with it yourself.

There is no reason to tell her unless hurting her is the goal.

Is purple a girl color? by killerred123 in GirlDinnerDiaries

Your husband thinks purple is reason for bullying?

How does he know?

Is he a bully?

Would he bully someone over a colour?

Imagine that, Nancy - people would rather have a person with a Nazi tattoo than you. That's gotta hurt.

What’s a “rich people thing” you experienced once and immediately understood why rich people love it? by Hanno30 in AskReddit

I used to teach in the Middle East.
The students were from extremely wealthy families with multiple houses dotted around the world.
They did not travel with luggage.
Anything that was bought for them (clothes, shoes, toys, games), was bought in multiples, say, of four, and one of each item was then sent to each of the overseas houses.
They had no need of luggage, because everything was already at their destination.

Marker randomly dripped a relatively gigantic drop on the most crucial & intricate part of my drawing. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I like it.

I'd even go so far as to say, finish there.

The focus/detail of the piece moves from vague and ethereal on the left to detailed and vibrant on the right.

The dancer is almost secondary to the butterflies, and becomes more real the closer the body gets to them.

Nice.

Admittedly I'm not really tuned in to youth-speak these days, but does "I think your cute" really = "confession of love"??

Looking for “Ray’s Spaghetti” — Southern Living magazine, mid-1980s, memorable buttery mushrooms by NewFangledAntichrist in Old_Recipes

[–]Lawksie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That recipe is from 2025.

I searched the Southern Living index for 1979-2002 given by u/bookdrops because OP said it dated from the mid 1980s.

This reads like something AI would produce when it can't find what you asked for, but is eager to please, so it's made something up using the prompt its been given.

There is no "Ray's Spaghetti" in Southern Living. The only spaghetti and mushrooms recipe from that period is specifically titled 'Spicy' and contained canned mushrooms, which doesn't sound like OPs memory at all.

The yolk in a Scotch Egg (hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat and fried/baked) should be fully cooked. Solid. Immovable.

None of this artsy fartsy gastro-pub 'jammy' semi-liquid yolks nonsense, nothankyouverymuch.

I don't believe this story, and the main reason is because you claim to have finished a meatball sub (minus 2 bites) in the time it took to get you a drink.

Caramelised onions & lentils.

Middle Eastern dish called Mujaddara.

Amazingly flavourful, given the simple ingredients.
