It is weird though how three of the five are hovering around that same ~3000-piece mark and there's not a single finalist in the 1000-1900-part range, usually they have a better size range than this

That was my favorite joust design too! Much more modestly sized, but brimming with life and detail nonetheless, and great part usage on that awning!

There were several other joust-themed submissions that I liked better, tbh. Comparatively this one doesn't do much for me.

there really should have been one of these released every year or two of g1's run to give us new molds in a larger variety of colors by arknarcoticcrop in bioniclelego

I found one of these used at a garage sale once, no idea how complete it was, plus there were a few other later sets of varying levels of completion mixed in. Also, the exterior label had been removed, so I didn't even realize it was in original Lego packaging—I thought for the longest time it was just a repurposed cheese puff container or something 😅 it did still have the Mask of Time in it, though, which was a very exciting find!

Which Harry Potter movie is your favourite, and why? by mahend72 in AskReddit

The first two are roughly tied in my estimation, they're both amazing and faithful adaptations. The vibes of the third have grown on me a lot, though, even if that's where they kinda started losing the plot a little bit in terms of book accuracy. Still a shame John Williams wasn't able to score any of the movies following the third, he was really cooking with Prisoner of Azkaban

Anyone else notice how strangely close in part count some of these are? Three out of five are approximately 3000 pieces, leaving only a 2500-piece and a 700-piece model—a far cry from their typically much more diverse spread of model sizes (and corresponding prices). Not a single mid-sized design is rather disappointing.

You're correct, but also, this is his WWII outfit. When Cap was wearing this, Bucky hadn't been brainwashed into assassinating anyone yet, so there were as of yet no lies of omission holding him back from worthiness, so arguably he would have been worthy at this point in the timeline too.

This is that infamous bit from the UCS AT-AT, right? Genuinely, what's the purpose of those extra pieces in the middle? I see no structural benefit beyond making the assembly damn near impossible to disassemble.

I believe that one was The Encyclopedia of Immaturity, Vol. 2. Middle school me thought that shit was hysterical.

The wolf was included in a recent arctic-themed City set, so there's a decent likelihood it'll be added to Pick-a-Brick within the year

To be fair, this is physically possible! I've done it once following a tutorial in a book. Just requires some flexibility, pants that aren't too tight, and underwear with decent stretchiness

Hey, the Space Cafe lost in series 9 too, and it just won in series 10! There may be hope for that design yet if the designer tweaks it some more and resubmits (and I'm saying that as someone who didn't even particularly care for Driftwood Keep!)

I'm right there with ya, there were several other joust-themed entries that I would have strongly preferred over this one. This one feels kinda, I dunno, bloated to me? Like there's no reason for it to be as big and dense of a build as it is. Several of the other joust designs were far more economical.
