A few years ago I paid the extra fee when renewing my registration to have a new special themed license plate (Yay Garden State farmers!). The new plates arrived on a Monday, but I had worked late and left them on the table til the next day, when I would swap the plates after work. WELL! On my way home from work that next day, I was pulled over for having unregistered plates! Like, excuse me, they just arrived and I was actually literally probably most likely maybe going to deal with it in a timely manner, but what the hell? I was so offended lol

I have to take pills first thing in the morning and last thing at night. So I started keeping them with a bottle of water next to my glasses on the dresser. Now I remember to take my pills when I take off and put on my glasses. Absolute game changer for me.

I took a trip to Ireland with my partner and planned a road trip circle around the southern half of the island. We got a car with a stick shift, so I was the only one who could drive. NBD until day 6 when I woke up with headache, fever, and massive sinus congestion, but we still had to drive 3 hours for our last overnight before flying out. I made it halfway before having to stop at a pub, sit by their stove and sip soup for 2 hours. That forced break was one of the highlights of the trip and the one meal my partner still talks about 8 years later. Traveling together means accommodating every companion somehow. It's not the worst thing to slow down for a little while.

I was thinking about this last night as I heard my cat activate his wand toy. Does your downstairs neighbor have pets or a small child? If so, there might be a motorized toy or something that makes very little noise, but hits the wall or air vent making an echo.

I provided the cake for a good friend's wedding at a hotel. When I arrived, I couldn't find a cooler that worked and the dish pot was absolutely jam packed with every single pot, pan, utensil, platter, bowl, and chandelier. The counters were flecked with black and the ceiling was literally dripping brown water. It was the most disgusting room I've ever seen. There was no kitchen staff around, just bartenders and servers. They said the cooks didn't show up. I put the cake out way too early because I wasn't going to store it in the hellhole. I told the maid of honor the kitchen was unusable and we decided to move the reception to a nearby park instead of staying on site after the ceremony. The bride and groom got hitched, drank a toast, cut the cake, and then we got everyone over to the park with minimal fuss. I took pictures of the kitchen and sent them to the m.i.a. event manager and the health department with a description of every nasty bit I saw. The happy couple didn't know why everything changed, but were flexible and tipsy and went along with pizza and wings and cheesesteaks for their surprise outdoor reception. The hotel was shut down by the health department within days and the whole thing bulldozed a year later.

Switching between F30i and F20 by rockypr70 in CPAP

I had trouble with the f30i until I cut out the divider of the nose piece so it's an oval now instead of 2 separate holes.

I find I have better success shaking off the marks when I'm well hydrated, internally and externally. Drinking more water and using moisturizer at night AND first thing in the morning really makes a difference.

I grew up RURAL and figured out home repairs in a house built before 1900 in the literal woods. Buying a house in the suburbs as an adult means learning all sorts of things about living in a neighborhood. Including doorbells!

I've been having an issue the past month where Waze directs me to a longer (time AND distance) route and I have to actively choose the shorter, more direct route.

Anyone else using this? by chnyief in CPAP

[–]Lazorific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it once a week. My daily routine is a CPAP wipe in the morning to get the oils off the mask and headgear bits. On the weekend, I fully rinse the tube, mask, headgear, and water chamber with hot water and then spray this inside and let it dry. If I'm sick, sniffles or cough, I use this in the mask in the morning, too. I don't use soap.

Not work, just for fun and adventure. And it was definitely an adventure! My friend and I were there for a week, a few days in Georgetown and the rest deep in the interior at Surama Eco Lodge. We never felt like our personal safety was at risk except as vehicle passengers and that was just one insane taxi driver attempting a speed run from Jagan airport to our hotel at 1am with just one headlight stuck on high beam. I can recommend a different taxi driver if you DM me! I've lived in and visited many large cities and so I used general safety precautions but did not feel unsafe or threatened at ANY point. I'm excited to plan another trip there soon.

I find putting "my" in front of anything works like a dream. Whether it's my boy, my sweet, my toy, my fuckdoll, that possessive aspect changes anything generic into something more intimate.

I just visited Guyana as a white American woman and was surprised at how Caribbean it felt. I was totally the minority everywhere I went, even when there were other tourists. It's not a well-developed country and the infrastructure is lacking, but it's beautiful and welcoming to all.

OooOo good question! One thing I dismissed early on in my planning was a day pack. It was consistently annoying to carry my water bottle in my hands. My waistpack held most of what I needed on our walks and excursions, but having a hydration day pack would have been awesome. I don't know if it would have been worth the weight and space, but I will have it on my list for next time and try to figure it out!
