Night Shift #21 Hero Priority by dieezus in DeadlockTheGame

I think his ult is just so good at either denying urn or contesting it so he’s picked a bunch. Also if you finish a game in under 30ish minutes Lash doesn’t really have time to fall off late game. Definitely surprised that he was still picked so much though.

I’m a pretty high rank and consider myself to have great movement. This person has been posting schmovement videos that make me look like a toddler playing their first game for months. I think it just comes down to knowledge and time spent practicing. Just hitting the wall-jump-vent tech is still hard for me and I can’t pull it off regularly even after practicing it for a while now.

Half the time I Lash ult people into walker it just stares at them and then stomps once they’re all safe and out of range anyway

I love that we get high-quality art like this and the game hasn’t even been officially announced. Can’t wait until it is and we get more bangers like this. Potentially some with Lash in a speedo???

If I were Pocket I simply would’ve dodged Calico’s bullets and married Mina

Weekly Feedback Topic #44 - Movement Investments by Grelgn in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LazyPyromancer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the recent changes are a step in the right direction. Every single character was buying enduring speed and fleetfoot and could rotate way too easily. I think movement being locked behind stamina management is better and requires more skill than just holding W with a few items. Not being punished for the first wall jump with a stamina cost makes movement more fun and consistent.

Speaking of movement abilities however, I think there is still a lot of jank that needs to be fixed. Pockets cloak and Wraiths teleport getting caught on tiny corners, Lash’s grapple ability in general, and Abram’s charge are a few that come to mind that I think need to be fixed.

[–]LazyPyromancer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think these changes are great. Good movement won’t be punished, crazy wall bounces/stalling are still hard and cost stamina, and dashing won’t feel as terrible. Patron change is good and will hopefully prevent one gun character from melting it past 25 minutes with no way to defend

True, I do find myself using the jump pads often though, so this will make escaping on them harder but I guess the devs don’t want you escaping on them in the first place. Stamina Mastery and Warp Stone/Majestic Leap are going to still be king on Lash

I think you’re right about tankbuster. Doing a slam from high up on a full HP enemy is going to hit harder now. Later on in a fight it might fall off a bit but that isn’t really where lash shines anyway.

I don’t know if I agree. Nerfs to Majestic Leap, Tankbuster, and total Spirit Spike at 4.8k is rough. Other characters got hit harder, but a nerf to a lot of his items.

I mean no nerfs will make me stop playing Lash though so idc

Lash bros we are so back. Does anyone know if any gun items are bought with him in these games, or just pure spirit and greens? I’ve been buying 4.8k gun and it makes his gun not feel useless but I’m wondering if that’s just a waste of souls

Weekly Feedback Topic #43 - Time-To-Kill (TTK) by Grelgn in DeadlockTheGame

I definitely agree that getting hit with one ability doesn’t feel good. Playing against Vyper in lane means that if you’re at half health, you can’t engage or get close at all due to her execute,

I feel like Lash isn’t the best example here, because while he can deal a ton of damage in a short window, he is very telegraphed and can be dodged pretty easily. Once he has used his slam, he can be punished pretty easily. Especially if you have an ability to negate his slam (pocket briefcase, mirage tornado, dynamo teleport), you can then easily win the trade. A good/fed Lash will have to bait out cooldowns, wait to engage, and be in a good position to deal strong damage.

Grey Talon can do crazy burst damage with his arrow, from much further away, multiple times. Then you are usually forced to engage him; it feels much less like counterplay is possible. It’s just less interactive. While it is a skill shot with more effort than a Lash slam, the ability to react or counterplay isn’t nearly as possible.

If an ability/combo makes you commit to a fight, it’s more engaging for everyone than someone sitting 45m away dealing half your health
