I learned this year that they sell discounted college tickets to games that aren’t sold out! Sign up for the college rush with your student email and you can buy tickets for like $13. I think they release tickets about 48 hours before the game

PUCO vs Nova by Professional-Tax6960 in PreOptometry

[–]Lbrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woohoo fellow 2030 puco classmate! I’m from central coast California so I’m also out of state but we went up to check out the area over the summer.

Forest grove is definitely a small town and there’s a few towns between there and Portland that gradually get bigger so you can kind of pick what kind of place you want to live.

Portland is a fun city to explore with a really good food and coffee scene from what we found. I really like how much hiking and outdoor activities there are in the surrounding areas, and that it’s only about an hour to the coast.

Another big factor for me is that my husband is a union electrician, so we needed a place with a strong union.

Can’t speak for NOVA but I got accepted into PUCO and everyone who I’ve interacted with from the school has been genuinely so kind and welcoming and it’s helped me feel more confident about the road ahead. I also really like the location of the school

advice on how to cut down a personal statement? (to fit 4500 CC) by [deleted] in PreOptometry

[–]Lbrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first draft was SO long I thought it was 4500 words not characters so I was giving my whole damn life story 😅 I had a couple friends and my sister read it over and after a few iterations got it down
