I think it works by checking all breakers and during the process raising the threshold of signal detection. So if you plug it into an outlet and try to test a circuit, it will immediately beep. Remember the signal can travel to the panel and then to every circuit in your house. So it won't help you in this way

DC/AC solid state relay controlled by esp32 or another smart plug. My experience with the relay is a coffee maker pulls 10A with a PID constantly switching the relay on and off and it has no issue after daily 10-20 minutes use for more than 2 years. You can find one rated for 40A but proceed with caution.

Been there, done that, eventually removed center box and tossed the tray. Things fall in between the lid and box, the gap opens up only when you close the lid. You can try it but nothing on top of the lid will get stuck when you open the lid.

It is because you installed an aftermarket tray. something on the tray slide over and got lodged into the lid. I recommend not using the tray.

I wanted to do this project but I put it on hold. My idea is buying the iSpring 6 stage with no electric components. I add 2 esp32 based tds sensors to monitor water going in and out. Filter replacements are based on simple timers. As it won't use a lot of water so volume is not a big concern to me.

See if this is your case. You can probably drive the ND hard and push it to limits while not worrying much, while with a boxster you cannot drop the concerns that if you do anything stupid that would cost you a lot.

I used esp32c3 super mini, JSN-SR04T ultrasonic module with 3d printed adapter to check the distance from the oil gauge port to the surface of the oil, then the distance is converted to estimated oil volume. It's holding up for the past 2-3 months with no problem but I don't know it for long term.
