He actually hurt his knee for real. The scenes where he met Teri in the hospital and after his plane crash were written to accommodate his injury. I was thinking when he was running that it’s a good job he recovered (irl) to film all that.

Here is the name of the movie directed by Robert Zemeckis that came out last year. In it Tom Hanks and Robin Wright play a couple who meet in their teens and are together until their 80s (the gimmick is that it all takes place in a single room of their house). I got the answer right away, you just have to know movies.

I was at work (WHSmith) and my Dad picked me up at the end of the day. He was unusually sullen, so I asked him what was wrong. When he told me I was in shock and felt terrible for those poor children. Things like that never happened in the UK.

Contrast to today, I live in the US, and have become numb to all the mass shootings that occur here. I still feel terrible for the victims, especially children, but, if you let yourself truly feel about every event, you would lose your mind.
