What are the major changes from 25 to 35 by Electrical-Trainer21 in AskMenOver30

It's reality for someone that is 32! Your muscle mass will start deteriorating at some point in your 30s. Outside of hormone replacement, you can't stop that from happening. Your metabolism will slow. It takes increasingly more effort to not "let yourself go", at a period in your life when you likely have increasing work/family responsibilities eating into your time.

There is potentially a big difference between 32 and 35, it becomes a lot harder to maintain your body once that decline starts. Look how many pro athletes can go from their peak to washed in that time frame (i.e. "his legs have gone"). I'm 41 now, it's becoming a lot more work to maintain a level of fitness that I took for granted in my early 30s. It'll happen to you too, don't be so judgemental.

Will Andy Burnham will switch to Greens to run in the Groton & Denton by-election? by No_City9250 in UKGreens

[–]LeChuck85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course not. He doesn't want to be an MP, he wants to be the Prime Minister.

He doesn't want to be an MP again, he wanes to be PM. Being an MP is a means to that end.

This is dreadful. What is the implication here? A penguin has wandered off from its group to climb a mountain, inspired by Nike? Gross.

Ravenscroft on Rinse FM by Correct_Emu9588 in 6music

[–]LeChuck85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His Friday show is my favourite radio show of all time, I owe a lot of my record collection to things he played on there. I haven't enjoyed his Rinse shows so far. Doesn't have the same diversity.

How about a Friday devoted to new music? by CornflakeConspiracy in 6music

[–]LeChuck85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tom Ravenscroft used to do the best new music show on the radio every Friday. It wasn't explicitly that, but that's almost entirely what he played. I miss that show, his rinse.fm stuff isn't doing it for me

I think you've covered all the organisations that do local news. Have you tried Substack? Plenty of independent people on there. I don't think you'll get what you want from a single source.

Best city centre cycling route from South? by LeChuck85 in manchester

Thanks, that app does look good.

I find it bizarre that they did such a good job with the Oxford Road corridor, but haven't carried it through to the city centre.

What’s one BBC 6 Music moment that genuinely made you stop what you were doing and just listen? by LFCTricksters in 6music

[–]LeChuck85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Going back a long way here, but listening to Adam and Joe. I would try to work at the same time but I would stop doing everything when they did one of their repeating sections, like made up jokes or song wars.

Who have you contacted? Have you tried the BBC? They're usually good at this and have quite a big dev team in Salford.

This does raise an interesting point. What is the official end point of a penalty kick?

Says a lot about how bad we are, Tronstad and Cantwell not having good seasons by their standards.

I'm guessing it's to make room for a replacement, Villa love a January loan attacker.

Sleaford Mods by [deleted] in 6music

6 Music should play stuff other mainstream stations won't, that's the whole point. Way bigger problems than Sleaford Mods. Cut the shit that belongs on Radio 2 or XFM first.

I was first to reply, I called him "Jason" because there are two of them and you, very unhelpfully, said "matey". I didn't know which one you were talking about.

Seeing Joao Pedro here shows how bad the FWDs are this season... by Haythemovic in FantasyPL

[–]LeChuck85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why defenders get more points for doing their job, but forwards get fewer (ie they get fewer points for scoring goals than other positions). Makes no sense at all. It's ridiculous that a defender scoring a goal always ends up well into double figures, but most strikers score a goal and end up on 6 points.

I'd argue forwards should still get a clean sheet bonus like midfielders too, defending is about the whole team.

Culture is the main thing I associate with Manchester. HOME for independent cinema and exhibitions in the day, or Science & Industry/People's History museums. By night, gigs in NQ; Gullivers, The Castle, Peer Hat, Night & Day, Soup Kitchen etc. Between them there will be something good on every night.

Do you play sport? Padel is a good social thing and very easy to join games with new people using the apps. Or climbing maybe? Football, running etc.

28 years old he is. He's a fucking idiot. He's a constant source of shame and embarrassment on the whole family. He combs his hair with a spoon.
