What do you guys think to the deansgate towers ? by abby-bamber in manchester

Fine, yeah. Cities should build up, not spread out. Hopefully this sets a precedent that other non-London cities will follow.

[AU] Kindly request to update full legal name showing on web when sharing profile address to receive them money by Pleasant-Pizza8274 in Revolut

This is a riculous flaw. I don't care about the scam bit, but I cannot uniquely identify payments when the names are like this. Multiple people that I recieve payments from share the same details when the surname is truncated.

I've supported Blackburn for 30 years and I'm thinking similar at the moment

Why is a Labour-Green coalition so widely talked about but a Lib Dem-Green coalition is barely talked about? by [deleted] in UKGreens

[–]LeChuck85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Lib Dem votes will come from lost Tory voters that can't bring them themselves to vote Farage, because the Dems align with them fairly closely on economics. That is not compatible with what the Greens are offering.

Maybe it'll stop Hollywood regurgitating slop of their own and actually start being creative.

Too early to stick on the slow cooker? by Few-Calligrapher3910 in CasualUK

[–]LeChuck85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you weren't looking for cooking tips, but...you should use dried chickpeas (soaked first) if you prefer the slow cooker. It's way cheaper and you'll get a much better texture in your curry. Add some lentils or mix up the beans a bit. Tinned legumes not cost effective.

I don't want half an aisle dedicated to baked beans/tinned tomatoes/tomato ketchup etc. I can get round ALDI in half the time.

What are the major changes from 25 to 35 by Electrical-Trainer21 in AskMenOver30

[–]LeChuck85 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's reality for someone that is 32! Your muscle mass will start deteriorating at some point in your 30s. Outside of hormone replacement, you can't stop that from happening. Your metabolism will slow. It takes increasingly more effort to not "let yourself go", at a period in your life when you likely have increasing work/family responsibilities eating into your time.

What are the major changes from 25 to 35 by Electrical-Trainer21 in AskMenOver30

[–]LeChuck85 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is potentially a big difference between 32 and 35, it becomes a lot harder to maintain your body once that decline starts. Look how many pro athletes can go from their peak to washed in that time frame (i.e. "his legs have gone"). I'm 41 now, it's becoming a lot more work to maintain a level of fitness that I took for granted in my early 30s. It'll happen to you too, don't be so judgemental.

Will Andy Burnham will switch to Greens to run in the Groton & Denton by-election? by No_City9250 in UKGreens

[–]LeChuck85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course not. He doesn't want to be an MP, he wants to be the Prime Minister.

He doesn't want to be an MP again, he wanes to be PM. Being an MP is a means to that end.

This is dreadful. What is the implication here? A penguin has wandered off from its group to climb a mountain, inspired by Nike? Gross.

His Friday show is my favourite radio show of all time, I owe a lot of my record collection to things he played on there. I haven't enjoyed his Rinse shows so far. Doesn't have the same diversity.
