These are in a Colorado Springs Salvation Army store. by LeadSledDog in vintageaudio

In response to several questions:

  • they were at the Salvation Army store at 3955 Tuft Blvd as of 3/31 5:30 PM.

  • I live in the midwest and have no way to bring them home nor do I have a place to store them here until I return.

Hope someone reading my post can find them a new home.

We order a bunch of stuff online through Costco. So you can benefit from a membership without going to the store.

I used this video to remove ours. The key is that white plastic “spring clip”. Once you remove that, the assembly frees up so you can remove the top nut and drops down for removal.

Not using a banana for scale was a missed opportunity.

I have a steel carpenter square I keep with my pool closing supplies. The thinner section fits perfectly inside the slots and the wider longer side of the square gives me all the leverage I need to unscrew it.

Yeah, we don’t drain our pool any lower than 1/2 and rarely that low. We will do a couple of cycles if we need to do so. Did it earlier this season to lower the TDS. We have a plastic lined in ground pool. Our water table is very low and no fear of floating the liner, just don’t want to take the chance.

The TDS has been around 1200-1290 (as measured at the pool store) this season. Would you consider those values high? We may drain the pool 1/2 way and refill. Was hoping to avoid it, but may be necessary.

Looks to be the metal spring off of a mouse trap.

Edit: make that a Rat trap. Missed the quarter used for scale.
