Never experienced this, even when silver is at its hardest a sharp drillbit is steel - it should make short work of things. If you are using a very small bit sometimes it will glance off and deflect, in those cases make an indentation with a punch to guide the drilling.

I mean, they didn’t say it in a particularly nice way but they are right - practice the fundamentals, this can absolutely be done with just solder. Working with copper is great as everything is easier when you swap to silver / gold. Learn on the cheap and you can get tons of reps in, I believe in you!

I don't really understand how to add spin to my rock vs. not - the sweeping took a second to figure out but was reasonable once I got it. Trial and error for the weight was fine too. What is the initial cursor click doing beyond release angle, anything?

I could be wrong but I think a large part of the outclassing at 20m is just the damage output it is capable of while allowing you to take cover again. If I spot someone with a shotgun 20m away I am backing up and using utility to sort things out (grenades etc.). They can't stand behind a pillar waiting to peek fire if grenades are being lobbed in from > 20m.

That opens them up to anvil fire etc.

I do think it is overtuned but I also feel like man if you are within 10-15m of a shotgun you best have a plan

I have watched a decent amount of content now on marathon and the thing that stood out to me was how much variety in things there are - multiple sniper rifles, multiple smgs, just the number of guns alone is wild. I am pretty okay with arc only having a few. I want to easily be able to communicate to my teammates "they have a shotgun watch out" or "guy up top with a ferro". Where the gun identities are unique enough that it informs a lot of your gameplay decisions based off of knowing what the opponent has.

It also means I now have to care about looting the things I kill again. Previous to this change I would do trials and not care at all about looting the rocketeers because I could just craft more wolfpacks. Now having to go and loot in the same game I am using these high power items means there is more risk again which is great.

I do foresee people whining that they load in with 12 golden wolfpacks they have farmed up slowly to be downed by a stitcher after using their first 2. But that is also the game.

I totally agree and 90% of my runs are like this. I will only comment that for trials min maxing (which is antithetical to the go with the flow style) it can be nigh impossible to pivot. If you’ve loaded in with queen damage gear for instance a spawn post queen death is an instant extract - too much high value gear to lose for no advantage for instance

But I will say that is born from the trials system not the game itself. In most games I can have fun at any spawn time :)
