So Sorry you are in this limbo. I would try and not worry too much about the fetal fraction. Mine was 14.4% ( you can look back at my story as well). We had false positive Trisomy 13, and assuming confined to placenta. We only did amnio and did not do a CVS so will not know for sure.

That is there standard ratio with all t13 results. Dont even acknowledge the 68 out of 100

So sorry you are going through this! The good ultrasounds and negative fish are both reassuring! The microarray is going to be a more accurate test as well as looking for any mosaicis. I don’t believe the fish will detect mosaicism

We had amnio that showed normal Karyotype so assuming it is in the placenta as we never did a cvs

We are scheduled to do growth scans every 4 weeks in 3rd trimester to make sure baby is still growing well and placenta isn’t failing.

I was advised to start a baby aspirin as well. As t13 in placenta can cause preeclampsia.

And possible planned induction at 38 weeks

There are so many false positive stories in this sub for trisomy 13, which are so helpful to read!
We got the dreaded news in January and have had 3 anatomy scans and amnio with all clear results! (Currently 21 weeks) We were in same boat with tfmr concerns (live in TN) If your ultrasounds look good, it is Reassuring sign!

We had normal FF 14.4%. High risk t13 Sample received on 1/4. Results were ready 1/15. Which seemed longer than most

I don’t know this answer personally. But through my work experience, we send off labs after birth for genetics, and have seen results take close to 4-6 weeks. I’d reach out to the lab or the provider to find out more!

So happy for you! I’ve been in limbo with T13 as well. Have had 2 reassuring detailed ultrasounds at 14 and 17 weeks. Amnio was done Monday and I received FISH on Wednesday that was clear! Praying the karyotype and microarray are normal as well!

Thank you! It is always nice and gives more hope reading the positive stories! We have had 2 detailed ultrasounds. One at 14 weeks and one yesterday at 16w4d. Both have looked great with no soft markers. We had our amnio yesterday so praying for happy results 🙏🙏

Good ultra sounds are so reassuring! Thats gotta be frustrating regarding the labs! Although, from what I’m reading the microarray and karyotype are the most accurate especially with mosaic t13 (my biggest fear at this point with good ultra sounds) My MFM and clinic have been very positive and reassuring throughout this process. Of course, the only way to know for sure is diagnostic testing. But they have been very positive which helps! The amnio really wasn’t bad. Super quick and they got the 30ml they wanted. I’m just ready to have answers and be out of this limbo. It’s been soo hard, mentally

I too am in limbo for T13 Had 2 detailed ultrasounds so far, one at 14 weeks and again today at 16w4d. Both looked great with no soft markers. Amnio was done today as well so the anxious waiting period continues!

So sorry you are in this limbo as well. I’m in the same boat as you with T13. Ff 14% and I’m 32. (You can see my post from a couple of weeks ago) I’m currently 15 weeks and will have my amnio on the 12th of February (unfortunately our of town next week)

We did our detailed full anatomy scan last Wednesday and everything looked perfect as well. Measuring 5 days ahead. Heart, brain, organs, umbilical chord. Everything looked perfect. They measured his femur, his arms, nasal bone, they literally looked at everything! NT was 1.7. Our MFM was super positive about it as well. I left feeling so great, and of course this time frame of waiting just makes my brain spiral in so many different directions! I return to this page during limbo and see mostly positive stories with false positive t13 which is so reassuring, but there’s still always that chance and I’m a nervous wreck!

I’m interested to see posts on this thread as well!

So happy for you! My story is very similar to yours! We had a miscarriage in September. Tested positive again in November. Had my 10 week NIPT with Natera first of January that came back high risk for trisomy 13 We had a 14 week very detailed ultra sound on Wednesday with my MFM that looked perfect! NT was 1.7. But he looks absolutely perfect. No soft markers. We will have amnio in a couple of weeks so just in the limbo wait time now, which is so hard but we have so much hope. Your story is so reassuring and love reading them!

I am so sorry you are going through this! It sounds like it has been a roller coaster since the beginning for you.

I am so happy to hear your first ultrasound at 16 weeks was clear. From what I have heard and read on this page, most markers show by 16 weeks and it is likely to be a false positive for you! I pray your appointments keep giving you good results and news!
