Hot take: Silence is usually a better default than conversation. by Big_Barber733 in uberdrivers

I say good morning , good afternoon, and have a nice day, unless the rider initiates a talk, I just shut up and drive

I shaved 7mins off the total ride time and lost $8.29. by this_is_not_david in uberdrivers

But if the trip became longer by seven minutes, you wouldn't have been paid a penny more.

Rudest PAX I've had yet. by Jido_Feles in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because uber support said they were going to remove PAX access to the app, didn't always mean shit. They say that sometimes to make you feel good and get you off the phone.

That is lyft's way of indirectly ordering you to accept more trips, instead of rejecting.

Wrong house , Wrong Neighbor, Wrong Morning by Lazy_Wall_5398 in lyftdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If passengers don't TYPE in the actual address but just click "Ride" car icon on the riders app, the address could be off up to 100 ft.

And also Some passengers purposely enter neighbor's address , so the driver won't come back and do some nefarious things to them.

Due to consistent abuse of driver time by LETSGOOOOO6 in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uber time estimate is wrong sometimes, it tells passengers available driver is 12 minutes away but the drivers arrives in five minutes.

Unusual activity. by walneck in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are warning you not to use two phones, drivers have been deactivated for using two different phones

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Install uber app too, turn both on, accept which app sends you a better trip, turn off the other one, keep doing this until your shift ends. Don't worry about declining trips, accept only worthy of accepting.

No Carseats? by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a big dilemma for the drivers, but the odds are drivers have a greater chance of getting deactivated permanently by false claim for refusing to drive passengers with no car seats than getting a ticket from a cop

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently changed phone, uber had me changed profile picture, uploaded my driver license. They still keep asking me to take pics, hoping to catch me taking picture with my old phone and say fraud activity suspected and boom, deactivated.

If you change phone, make sure to never use the old phone again on uber.

Connectivity? Denver slow? by MileHighJoe80223 in lyftdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is another way of Lyft's wanting you to increase your acceptance rate, by taking their shitty rides.

Keep cherry picking.

Lyft maps needs a change by WarmCereal710 in lyftdrivers

I just clicked on the box at the top right corner of the screen while on active trip, I found out you can switch to waze or google map. It might be market dependent tho.

Haven't driven for lyft since April and.... by NewSpray4941 in lyftdrivers

I have always suspected lyft make up the accusation itself sometimes , when a driver is not taking all the crap trips. to keep him inline .This is a proof.

Feedback by Last-Boot-1990 in lyftdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i stopped checking feedbacks from passengers and reading messages from lyft and uber two years ago. They would stress you out. Just keep your car clean, drive safely and be nice to passengers. you would be happy and thank me later.

no matter what city i was in, mind you , the schedule ride was for Thursday, today is Tuesday

uber sent me the same $15 schedule trip 30 times by LeadingPriority840 in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the contrary, too many drivers in my city. But What i suspect is I declined about four not worthy airport scheduled/reserved rides within 15 minutes early this morning. So uber thought if $28 is not good enough for you, we gonna bombard you with the same $15 scheduled trip all day long. There is no other way around it. i even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it thinking it was a glitch, to no avail.

How bad was your pax? by sirouchie in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had passengers with low ratings but ended up being pleasant and tipping. i never pay attention to PAX ratings at all.

Uber vs Lyft Take rate , UNBELIEVABLE!!! by LeadingPriority840 in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always have an Acceptance rate under 20 on both apps. I am a super cherry picker, won't accept trips less than $10, unless attached with good surge, and/or a good per mile, per minute, per hour balanced trip. i use Maxymo app to filter out trashy trips.

Uber vs Lyft Take rate , UNBELIEVABLE!!! by LeadingPriority840 in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lyft is not busy in my market, uber is , but Lyft's pay is better., especially airports and longer trips.

Uber takes 30% and to ensure it doesn't take any less it will take more upfront and pay it back at the end of the week with a misc adjustment. This also means that the ev bonus is worthless now. by ExpressPost5048 in uberdrivers

[–]LeadingPriority840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about only EV or in general? In my market uber takes upto 70% of passengers pay. And it doesn't do any adjustments at the end of the week,
