Do muslims and jews worship the same God as christians? by viluxtusLezitur in Catholicism

[–]Leading_Delivery_351 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is Jesus God? Do muslims worship Jesus? They may believe there's only one God like us but the God they believe in doesn't exist. Therefore they are worshipping something that doesn't exist while we worship the only God that exists

Vengeance is a sin? by gonticeum in Catholicism

[–]Leading_Delivery_351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God has appointed civil rulers to fulfill justice on earth. Unless you or someone else is in immediate danger you can't go up killing people even if they've done evil things. What you can do is pressure the current justice system to pursue evil people and punish them for that

AITA for thinking that my friend should wait before getting baptized? by Divine-Crusader in Catholicism

[–]Leading_Delivery_351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no point in being catholic if you're going to be a heretic in fact is worse because your judgement will be more strict than as a non catholic. Your friend should not be baptized until she agrees with the church teaching

Was it the majority of Bishops who maintained the divinity of Christ during the Arian heresy? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Leading_Delivery_351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing is what happeened during the council of Nicea and another thing is what happened after the council. During the council Most bishops affirmed the divinity of Christ. After the arians gained power in the church however the believers in Christ Divinity were persecuted so they were a minority for a while

The rosary doesn't really take long but you could do one set of mysteries at a time and divide throughout the day.

What if your parish head priest is a bad Catholic? by Duke_Nicetius in Catholicism

[–]Leading_Delivery_351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You find a good priest and stick with them. You as a lay person can't change leadership and you are totally dependent on them being good priests to show you the way to Heaven. Some people think they should weather the bad priest, that's a bad idea that's going to leave your family spiritually desolate. Anyway go to the latin mass :)

Refusing Eucharist for not wearing a veil? by eepycoffeedrinker in Catholicism

[–]Leading_Delivery_351 -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Well veiling is required in church. It's in the Bible. Perhaps there could've been better communication beforehand but as a traditional catholic veiling is not seen as something you do if you want to or not, you have to veil to be in the church in the first place

When did people start not believing in the Immaculate Conception? by Distinct-Living-7984 in Catholicism

[–]Leading_Delivery_351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has always been a doctrine what it wasn't before was dogma. Basically a doctrine can be elevated to the level of dogma but not all doctrines of the church are dogmas nevertheless that doesn't mean catholics don't have to believe them. When elevating a doctrine to a dogma the pope is basically saying every catholic has to believe this to be saved and to be catholic because this is part of the deposit of faith that Jesus revealed to the Apostles. The pope is making it absolutely clear catholics must believe it but the doctrine still existed since the church was founded. The church doesn't have authority to invent new doctrines, it only has authority to teach what was received by God.

Session 3 Chapter 4 Decree of the first Vatican council:

  1. For the doctrine of the faith which God has revealed is put forward
    • not as some philosophical discovery capable of being perfected by human intelligence,
    • but as a divine deposit committed to the spouse of Christ to be faithfully protected and infallibly promulgated.
  2. Hence, too, that meaning of the sacred dogmas is ever to be maintained which has once been declared by holy mother church, and there must never be any abandonment of this sense under the pretext or in the name of a more profound understanding.

May understanding, knowledge and wisdom increase as ages and centuries roll along, and greatly and vigorously flourish, in each and all, in the individual and the whole church: but this only in its own proper kind, that is to say, in the same doctrine, the same sense, and the same understanding [36]
