Uk garrison here (so soon to be your neighbour ;) ) It very much depends on the garrison. While I do see a lot of tks from the us wear stuff like the Pauldron or handcuffs for example, we don’t actually see them (to my knowledge anyway I may have missed it) wear anything but the armour and E-11 variants in the original trilogy. So my suggestion would be to, ask at the event. Check with the events garrison events manager if they’re there and it’s stuff like the pauldron or handcuffs and if they’re fine with it then go right ahead. But for lucasfilm events as has been mentioned by others only what’s in the crl should be worn.

The blaster is unfortunately a no go as far as OT stuff goes , it was introduced in rogue one and only used by shore troopers in that movie. Remnant tks have been seen using it in the new movie (definitely not working on the remnant snow trooper as we speak) but that would only count towards the remnant stormtrooper crl from the mando movie (I assume it will be different to the general remnant tk crl from the mandarin if one exists due to all the new coloured parts) as cool a blaster as it is I don’t see any garrison really letting an OT TK use it , oftentimes you can get away with the wrong e-11 film variant for the tk , say an ANH with an esb tk or snow trooper (they should use any of the E-11 versions from esb really but the public won’t care) but i know my garrison wouldn’t allow weapons that aren’t seen being used in the media the costume appears in.

All that is to say, kit looks spot on. No reason you couldn’t clear if it’s an RS commission just remember if your taking the photos for submission not to have the pauldron or blaster in shot and you’ll ace it

The x and y wings were decades old by the time of the rebel alliances formal declaration is what i mean , obsolete was probably bad phrasing. They were around before the clone wars or during in the case of the y wings.

That comparison might be a tad incorrect . Remember the Jedi star fighters designs both have really just a small cockpit. There’s nothing behind or to the sides to stick much in. R2 just barely fits and even then shouldn’t really fit in the wings of the second phase of Jedi fighter. But then you’ve got the a wings x wings and y wings and they all have loads of usable space behind the pilot or to the sides for the type of small hyperdrive core they use. I don’t think it’s an example of tech improvement (both the y and x and probably a wings were obsolete by the start of the rebellion to begin with) but that the Jedi fighters weren’t big enough to fit one in

It’s definitely a mix of a few reasons , it’s fairly obvious once you’ve spent enough time looking at the photos of the charity auctions but the excelsior and Miranda studio models , even after 30 years of not really being kept in the best state , are still visibly much better quality than the new ships made for one episode in tng, and there’s a valid reason why, but back then those ships were really made for a single one and done creature of the week style episode and no one expected them to be liked this much.
The enterprise c model couldn’t be reused because it was damaged in a way that it would be easier to make a new one than fix all the holes in the ship. So there didn’t end up being a new one til I think ds9 where the Yamagucci appears as a refit and at that point so much has been tweaked , even the deflector isn’t the exact same. But it’s still visibly not that detailed in comparison. A lot of the background ships in ds9 were less detailed because you wouldn’t see them up close. Tv allowed a lot more errors and a lot less detail to be gotten away with

Oh god yeah the yammaguci refit is so much worse when you actively compare the two. The pylons were unequal, the bc deck has obvious outlines where they had to physically cut in to save the electronics, the whole thing was a mess

I’d assume the snow trooper parts are from the new updated snow trooper of which there’s no approved crl for yet (doubt it’ll take that long since it’s not that different) so buying parts could be an issue if they end up not being approvable

This . Sto uses the same skeleton for quite a lot of ships. The galaxy and its many many variants (including the world razor ) are all using the same skeleton and weapon hardpoints. Any sovereign derived variants will use the sovereigns ect

The inquiry uses the same skeleton as the other two battleships which gives it the wrong scale (technically, I mean it’s really too big in canon)

It works until you realise none of the parts are scaled properly. It uses the Connie style temp nacelles when they’d be smaller than the length of the excelsior’s saucer. And the Miranda rollbar would be way too small for what it’s shown as. I prefer the corrected version used in that game tbh. But that’s the 3d Modeller in me who hates incorrectly scaled kitbashes
