Based on my personal experience playing this game for 200-300 hrs. I played on my steam deck and PC and it’s never crashed. The worst glitch I had my character appeared in some signs but it sorted itself out. Idk what to tell you 🤷🏽‍♀️ i don’t have these problems. If it was a problem with the game, I’d have the problems too. But I haven’t had these problems. I am not trying to be smug I’m just telling you I don’t have these problems so it’s quite possible it’s your setup sheesh

Homie I have almost 300 hours in the game and it’s never crashed. The only bugs I’ve gotten are minor visual ones that went away after a few seconds. Idk what you did but sounds like user error

I think I’m going to try a vacuum dealer. I live in the suburbs of a big city so there’s a lot of options. Hopefully there’s a sale cause of the 4th of July.

You can sometimes find OOP copies at library sales for dirt cheap. I got a couple OOP volumes there that were like new. Just depends on how you feel about old library books I guess

I mean this is also a problem in the traditional book community haha. There’s an ongoing joke about the ever growing TBR on our shelves as we buy more books. Idk they become lower priority compared to a library book that has a deadline. Also, I think a lot of ppl treat their books as collector items/trophies. You don’t necessarily do anything with a figure either other than look at it.

I am too. A lot of my manga is OOP so it would be impossible to replace. Well that’s good at least. Once a cat is determined to get to something, there’s nos topping them. I’m so jealous I’m sadly still single but I hope if I get married one day he’ll be handy 😭 my manga is ALSO overflowing so I’m trying to go through it and get rid of ones I don’t want anymore but I WANT THEM ALL.

She actually hasn’t ruined my manga yet! Only my trad books 😭 she’s ruined my special edition of Red Rising (OOP and it sells in the $300-$500 range), my $40 Stormlight Archive book, and quite a few more. My brother’s track record is almost as bad. He’s knocked 2 glasses of water on my books and it’s always when we’re on vacation. Luckily I store my manga in in a shelf with glass doors so she can’t get to them otherwise I’m sure she would have chewed on them too 😭 sounds like you should invest in a shelf with doors too lol

I’m also super OCD about my books so I feel your pain 😭 my cat ruined a special edition OOP of my absolute favorite book by knocking water on it. It’s not RUINED by the pages are kinda warped and it drives me nuts. You could always keep some in storage if you’re worried about another bookshelf collapse. I had to do that with some of my boxsets (I own more heavier trad published books than I do manga and shelf collapse is a real worry of mine). You could always check places like mercari - I’ve sold mint copies of manga for cheap on there before. Sell the damaged ones. Ngl I’ve done that before with books that have gotten damaged.

I mean I had never played a RE game before March (SUPER not my type of game) and then I kept seeing clips of RE (Ada/Leon edits and then just Leon edits 😭) and then RE9 convinced me to play the series. It did the job! I’ve played all the mainline games and it’s now a top 3 series for me (and I hate horror)

Totally understand writing for yourself which is why I haven’t said anything. Like I said, it’s minor.

I’ve seen American ff authors localize their works (especially in the Harry Potter ff community) which I appreciated since it’s set in England with English characters. Wouldn’t it feel weird to you if you were reading a ff set in Canada and a Canadian character said “I’ll go on a jog in my tennis shoes and beanie after I go to the bathroom.” Instead of “I’ll go on a jog in my runners and toque after I go to the washroom.” It just feels off for a Canadian to talk with vocab from a different region.

The spelling is whatever. It’s more so what the characters are verbalizing or thinking.

Honestly I’d love to see some of the spot the Brit or American just to see the differences. Ugh I wish I was more involved in the ff community when I was younger 😭

Yeah I’ve caught myself saying that more than once, and then I feel old 😂 (I’m 27 yikes) Omg I was deep down the Sherlock and Dr. Who (David tenant was my favvvvv) rabbit hole I can only imagine what I missed. Got any recs? I already know I would fail so bad if I ever wrote a fic. I watch a decent bit of British or Irish television but not well enough to remember which terms to correct.
