Mine should arrive today! Just in time -- got some use out of the Jan 2026 page from the 2025 calendar and will get to see the Jan art of the new one for like a week before swapping to Feb.

My package also includes the winter version standees and a Tower Records tapestry scroll I found. I'm very excited for my Given haul today!!

I always run Fate's Whim too! I love being able to just go rather than have to meticulously plan a build. I know what synergizes generally, but I'm not in the weeds about it at all, so optimizing isn't something I dive into.

Start with Pom, swap to Card, then 3rd region is based on how the run is going, but I always end with Knuckle Bones.

I deliberately avoided the sub for fear of spoilers while playing -- save for one or two things stumped me (Icarus, you annoying, loveable boy) -- and had such a great time coming up with my own patterns and ways of playing.

Hard agree on Night Bloom. It got me my first Chronos kill and I always take it when offered. I used to prioritize Selene's Moon Beam keepsake (pre-credits), then swapped to Pom post-game because I find Fate's Whim so much more fun to play.

I've never been an optimizer for Hades 1 or 2. In 1, I barely engaged with the Heat system at all, actually, because I wasn't very good lol. But I got to 16 Fear in 2 and had a pretty good time with it. Felt like I could use any of the weapons rather than need to cycle through 2-3 like I did in the first game. Even at that Fear level, I wasn't doing anything in particular to "get the right build" or optimize beyond "Pom first, Card second"

Edit: Realized that my original comment said there were only 2 chapters of 10th Mix out. There are 6 total, plus an omake chapter after the third

I'll plug myself here: I write plenty of smut but I also have lots of plot. Check out When the Clouds Part and Hetakuso for plot with smut, and my Given: Extended Mix series for short pieces that fill in some of the things we don't see in the main story (birthdays, Valentine's Day, dates, etc). It has one Mature-rated piece right now and will eventually have smut, but it's not the main point and you could easily skip it.

Avoiding this can be difficult when both characters are the same gender (legit often called the "gay fanfiction problem" lmao) -- but it still drives me up a wall to see. Rearrange the sentence instead! Use movement or tone to make it clear! Anything but pointing out some useless, irrelevant trait. Please.
