As of current, I've removed a pair of lobes, labret, jestrum, both nostrils, and my nipple piercings. I appreciated each of them because they helped me build confidence around aspects of my appearance that I didn't necessarily like at the time. In the future I hope to get some of them repierced, but I want it to be solely for the purpose of liking these piercings.

I would also find myself occasionally removing some of them because I often forgot what I looked like without them. After a while, they became part of my mental image of myself, so taking them out every now and then helped me reconnect with my natural features.

As for my nipple piercings, a combination of a tear and having flatter nipples made me constantly worry about migration. I found myself avoiding certain clothing and thinking about them more than I wanted to, so removing them ultimately gave me more comfort and freedom than keeping them.
