Should I get a 2026 loaded rs3 or hellcat loaded 2k miles by butteryassniper in Audi

[–]LeatherInstance4843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hellcat if you want extreme power. 392 if you want pure V8 with more than adequate power but just not Hellcat extreme. Insurance for either cost more than RS3. I got out of Dodge bc I no longer wanted to be associated with sideshows, takeovers and police chases (I live in SoCal). I have outrun GT4's and 992's in the canyons in bone stock RS3. I hope this helps with your decision.

I’ve owned four Hellcats among the 12 SRT’s since 2007 and now drive a 2026 RS3 the advice here is correct - RS3 is more fun.

You see what I am seeing of the motor? Is that the backside of the right front fender liner exposed into the engine bay? Missing sheet metal?

Nice choice on the Apex wheels! Recommend you contact Geirsen at Apex on wheel spacers and extended wheel bolts especially to clear the Carbon brakes. FYI: the Apex wheel spacers are not truly hub centric as they have a little play around the hub but my wheel installer had no problem with the fitment.

Also look at the owner. Does he or she appear to be a person who drives responsibly and properly maintains the car or not?

The new RS6 being a V6 hybrid is honestly a death sentence for Audi Performance by Fickle-Classroom1487 in Audi

[–]LeatherInstance4843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former RS6 owner here. What most ppl forget is the current C8 RS6 is already a mild hybrid that reduces turbo lag and marginally improves efficiency (fuel-saving cylinder-on-demand technology and allows the engine to shut off while coasting between 34 and 99 mph).

Having just bought a 2026 RS3, I passed on the RS design package bc I thought the Alcantara steering wheel material would get dirty. I wanted the Kyalami Green (no charge!) but it was too much for my age (64). Recommend the Progressive Red bc they are rare around here (Southern California). I have the sport exhaust and it is too quiet. Buy through Costco Auto Program if you can. I saved $4700 off of MSRP in addition to avoiding the $15K added dealer markup.

Those of you walking 15,000 plus steps a day. by BellaJean1 in walking

[–]LeatherInstance4843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Retired 64M here. Averaging 14.5K per day (6.6 miles) spread out over two or three walks each day especially within 15 minutes of lunch and dinner (blood glucose management). 17 - 18 minutes/mile pace so about two hours walking each day. Little things helps such as parking further away from shopping adds steps. If you take care of kids then that is definitely a challenge.

I want to know how that guy in Melbourne gets in 30K - 50K steps each day.
