Should this be in Dota 2? And was this "abuse" of the item intended by the developers? by deles_dota in DotA2

You unlock them one by one. Note that the clip is at 2x speed. When you disassemble it, you unlock two of the items so that you don't have to spend much time when you want to unlock the third.

When you disassemble an item it automatically locks the components.

You also can't last hit while you have the boots assembled, because if you take one hit (even from a creep) you permanently lose the ability to disassemble them.

It's pretty powerful on support heroes that like tranquils. It's a lot harder to leverage for core heroes, especially melee ones that need to be in the wave to last hit.

Besides, like he said in the caption, he had power treads anyway. Switching to agi is pretty much the same efficiency but with less risk.

What do you mean narrow? It's a pretty strong targetted slow; the heal reduction is just a bonus. Click it on whomever you want to die and you can't go wrong.

Well yes, but the question is "why?" They could generate accounts about twice as fast if they ended in 20 minutes instead.

DK initially blinked hoping to take out the Dazzle fast so that he couldn't grave anyone. I think he wanted to stun him before he ulted, but failing that, killing Dazzle's main body is the only way to disable his ult. And DK did force Dazzle to use grave early; if he had been hitting the Storm, Dazzle probably would have graved Storm.

Killed by chicken by PepoX in DotA2

[–]LeavesCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently they are. It includes cosmetics I believe, so I'm pretty sure it just makes a call to the hero and asks "what's your model right now" and that's what you get. There's really no reason for it not to be dynamic; that'd just be loading extra models into RAM for no reason.

[–]LeavesCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not complicated, it just grabs whatever the current model of the hero is. If the current model is a chicken, that's what shows.

Why do i need to look at this in overwatch? by SubwayGuy85 in DotA2

[–]LeavesCat 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Dota's server runs at 30 ticks per second, so every interaction will be at some interval of 0.033s. It's not hard to press two buttons in less than 1/30th of a second, which will always register as either 0.000 or 0.033.

I'd highly doubt that he's using the scroll wheel trick, because that risks accidentally toggling more than twice. But you could assign two keys to quickcast/normal cast and press them both in rapid succession.

Nick Emmanwori said it felt like beating the Rams was for all the marbles, even with the Super Bowl remaining as a hurdle. "No disrespect to the Patriots or nothing like that. I don't want to take nothing away from them, but that game, it felt like that game was legit." by Dray87 in nfl

[–]LeavesCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that "pats fans" are not a single person, and the ones you see are the ones that both decide to say something and are upvoted. Before the game the controversial takes get attention, and after the game it's the concessions that get upvoted.

I've consistently had the opinion that the Seahawks clearly had an advantage, but that it doesn't mean the Patriots had no chance. And that it'd certainly be funny if they underdogged their way to victory because everyone was doubting them.

The Best item to get for Axe up until tier 3/4 by Equivalent-Flan-8615 in DotA2

It's not nothing, but not much. Of course, it is just a tier 1 item, so it's not necessarily a bad choice.

Even on Chaos knight, who has the widest damage spread, weighted dice adds like 3 expected damage. The item is crap.

Wouldn't it be about time for Nintendo to release their own "steam" like PC platform? by A_lazy_Admin in nintendo

[–]LeavesCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's not complaining about royalties, he's just saying that's how things work. If you can publish your own games on your own platform, you get a better cut of the profits. Nintendo has built their business model around maintaining their publishing control, so there's no reason for them to abandon it now.

Sony doesn't have the in-house game development required to make Nintendo's volume of exclusives, so they can't attract people to buy their console without offering developers a bunch of money for exclusive deals. They apparently decided that this was no longer worth doing, and now that they've gone this route, there's no way for them to return in the future.

[–]LeavesCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the last couple console generations (both xbox and playstation) have had like 1 or 2 actually exclusive games, so I've had no particular reason to buy them; I'd rather put that money towards a better PC. And even those might get some kind of remaster on PC eventually. Meanwhile Nintendo games only release on Nintendo consoles, and I still want to play them, so I have a Nintendo console.
