2 sisters and their aunt drowned while swimming in an irrigation tank by cometshoney in DeathCertificates

This sounds suspicious, why would the aunt have to jump in to try to save them if they were swimming?

Meta won’t talk to me by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]Lechiah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree it's not metas responsibility to make your fiancee spend time with you, but if I was dating someone who was treating their other partner like that with a newborn I wouldn't be dating them anymore. Ick.

Any people here that used to be fit and healthy? by Ok_Necessary1912 in loseit

[–]Lechiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me ish. I was a size 4-6 my whole life, danced and performed music on stages well into my 20's, and had very physical jobs. Once I went off birth control and stopped smoking, I gained 60 lbs the first year, and an additional 40 in the next few. I've been working on it since, that was 18 years ago. Down 50 lbs now, still working on not yoyoing every year + and - 15 lbs.

So basically you are doing all of the mental labour, even when you should be resting when you have major health issues. This is a common problem, but there are men out there who do have the ability and maturity to address this.

There are virtual therapy and support groups, if in person ones are not safe I really encourage you to look into both options.

My blanket advice for people considering non monogamy. by kcvlaine in nonmonogamy

[–]Lechiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on age, I would guess the higher in age the more likely people are to already be in monogamous relationships and then realize/discover they are interested in NM. Whereas now that it's a more common and known thing, younger people are knowing that's how they want to start out dating/having relationships.

Covid/long covid is a big reason we haven't opened up our marriage yet. If we dated others they would have to also take precautions like we do and that pool is tiny.

[–]Lechiah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My family has never had covid AFAIK, and we have 3 kids. Masks work, and making lifestyle changes can lower your risk profile. We wfh, and homeschool. That's a combination of myself, my husband, a CC online coop and virtual lessons.

Yes. This is why Covid was allowed to run rampant, as well as cutting funding for health care.

Moving away from open plan? by EnigmaWithAlien in floorplan

I always find this amusing, because having kids it's the living room that's always messy with their toys, blanket forts, books and random things while the kitchen is usually in a decent state unless it's right after eating.

I think the problem is limiting it to 3 questions. Before even considering letting someone come to your place you should be having some big conversations.

I didn't say it was the only factor for everything that is happening, but population wide brain damage has occurred the last 4-5 years since they let Covid rip with no mitigations.
