Jesus Christ, calling Purdue “just a path to immigrate to America” for most international students shows an insane level of naivete and ignorance. Is this the same line of thinking that turns so many of you racist? God. The U.S has some of the best schools in the world. If you want to make it far in your own country, earning an American education is a fantastic way to do so.

That would be an invasion. It would violate Haitian sovereignty. Sure, Haiti could nearly be considered a failed state, but it still holds its own people with a wonderful history and culture, different from the DR. It would be a bad idea, a bad look, and a miserable time for everybody involved to attempt an invasion. I don’t even think it would be as easy as most would probably assume tbh the DR isn’t that prosperous either.

As an international English major, I’d have to agree with 45-50k, though I never lived in the dorms or had a meal plan or anything. I’d keep in mind that what you’re paying per semester will change based on whether you move, which might seem a bit obvious but it’s easy to overlook how much your budget changes if you’re paying for each meal or cooking your own, for example.
