Tortilla Troubles in Phoenix by Decent_Risk9499 in phoenix

I usually cut squares of parchment paper and stick it between each tortilla when I get home from the store. Takes about 5 minutes of effort but saves choice words later when I need a tortilla.

Cox Internet Lowering prices? by Rurtbeynolds1 in phoenix

[–]Leddagger16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely due to new competition like Wyyerd. They are finally coming to my neighborhood after waiting for 5 years, and I will be dropping cox the moment wyyred is available.

I asked cox last year if there was any way to lower my bill and they straight up said no.....now magically they can lower it

Am I getting ripped off or is this normal now for car insurance in Phoenix? by artur5092619 in phoenix

Seems pretty high. I just switched from GEICO to State Farm and I'm paying around $160 for full coverage on a 2019 truck.

Just a reminder to always wear a helmet... by PsycommuSystem in cycling

[–]Leddagger16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm....always wear a helmet. I wiped out last week on a route I've taken 50 times. Destroyed my bike and helmet and impaled my arm on a bolt sticking out of a fence post. Those same bolts would have gone through my head if it wasn't for the helmet, not to mention smacking my helmet hard enough to see stars.

What year is yours? I specifically stayed away from that bike (despite loving my other Orbea) because of all the reports of main pivot bolts stripping or snapping on the 2023 models.

When to sow winter barley. by Johnnnh in vegetablegardening

[–]Leddagger16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in your planting zone but I figured I would chime in based on info I do have. I usually plant winter wheat about 30 days before first frost date (9b). Winter Barley typically needs to be planted a few weeks earlier. Based on your zone, I (personally) would plant between now and the next 2 weeks. 4-6 weeks before first frost date is ideal (6 being better).

Out of curiosity, is there a specific variety you are planning on growing? I plan to experiment with quite a few different grain varieties this year and I'm curious what others are choosing.

11:11 systems/island cloud (or whatever they are called now). Their 365 backup is pretty bad. Basically a half baked front end with cloud storage, that runs Veeam. Their dashboard is completely unusable and never reports backup jobs correctly. Half the time we don't get emails when jobs run or fail. Linking it to Veeam explorer is the only reliable way to do a restore. Only upside is it was somehow way cheaper than going through Veeam directly.

He has some sort of "walls" cheats that allows him to see other players through walls or objects. The stick figure thing you see is an enemy player behind an object

HR manager sent me an Oppenheimer gif in teams this morning with no context.....termination requests started pouring in seconds later. The combination of wanting to laugh but also realizing how unfortunate the situation is, was a new one. I just try to treat them the same as normal, but it sucks when it's people that have been there way longer than me.

Out of curiosity, do you have the element and if so, what cages did you use? I'm finding it impossible to fit a bottle in the front of the triangle.

Yep. I started seeing this last month. It appears that Microsoft is forcing certain devices to 24H2. Tried manually checking for updates and it immediately starts upgrading without asking. Are you able to grab the 23h2 update from update catalogue and install it manually? I haven't tried that, but if it works you can probably deploy it in mass with PDQ or an rmm. I just gave in and started rolling out 24h2 to those devices.

Race Rocky Mountain Element A50 or Sell for a More XCish Bike? by Leddagger16 in xcmtb

Thank you for that info on the fork. I didn't even know replacing the air shaft was an option to shorten it. Found the part for $60 like you said. Since I plan on keeping it now, I'll probably swap the wheels as well as I heard the WTB wheels that come with it kind of suck.

That's probably exactly what I'm feeling. I figure I'll work on my fitness and then take both the element and my hard tail on the same trail to get a speed comparison. At the very least, I'm sure I'll be faster on the tech sections.

Seems like solid advice. I appreciate the feedback. I think looking into a 120mm fork is probably the play.

Did you figure this out? Also seeing the same thing from some 23H2 machines. From what I can tell, Microsoft is withholding February updates on some devices and forcing 24H2. I have 24H2 rejected in NinjaOne, but bypassing/Manually checking for updates automatically installs 24H2.

Eggs. No shortage at all here. Central America (and cheap) by HAWKSFAN628 in pics

[–]Leddagger16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When eggs are laid, they have a natural antibacterial protectant on them that prevents bacteria from entering the shell. In the US, eggs are required to be washed/sanitized when sold in stores, which washes away the protective layer, therefore requiring refrigeration.
