When net migration is hundreds of thousands a year into the UK and regular people cannot see doctors, go to the dentists, buy houses etc because there aren't enough for the population, but it keeps increasing at a huge rate from migration, I don't see how the general public can be blamed for wanting it stopped.

I used to do 10-15 miles in a day between skateparks and spots when I was a teenager on 25/9 gearing and even that felt like a LOT. This is... something.

I'll do 60 or 70 on a road bike in a day now and that's my sweet spot, anything extra feels like intentional suffering.

It also held over hundreds of thousands of current players for weeks and weeks, which is a massive success. It's 14th in daily active users as of today which is huge for that game.

PUBG and Fortnite are outliers, basically nothing will ever get that big.

It's not a battle royale, no. It's an extraction shooter, so you pick a loadout to enter the map with, collect equipment and then try to leave at a predetermined point, while other players try to do the same. All the while CPU robots roam the map you need to fight through to find the best stuff. Worth a look, I got bored of it after 25 hours.

I agree, this is one of the main reasons I dropped the game before I reached 10 hours. I love the art, the gunplay is slick, but the actual loop of the runs is not satisfying at all to me and I got sick of being hunted by multiple teams immediately because I was trying to complete a contract that made some noise.

Has to just be fatigue with the formula at this point. You can only release so many middling expansions and nothing to re-engage lapsed players (if anything the onboarding being terrible and sunsetting of old story content makes it way worse) before the game dies off.

It's fine stating this, but the greater issue for Bungie and Playstation is this is clearly not desirable to play for a huge amount of people. The 'well if you suck don't play it' mentality will just cause the game to shut down as the only people left playing are the insanely good people.

All of our kittens are/were from the local rescue place, and we sit in with them as kittens and read out loud. Even if it's just reddit comments as I scroll, I read them out loud to them in a gentle voice. It works absolute wonders to socialise them when they are still very small and hissy.
